I would prefer more information on what was in the soil and what he sprinkled on the top. A plant needs water to grow, so he had to water somewhat regularly. Did he fertilize? It’s hard to learn just by watching the video with no verbal or written instructions. The music is not helpful - I’d like more instructions on how you grow the cabbages please.
Compost + probably eggs shells. Must try to see if it works. 90 to 120 days. If I had a garden, I would use this technique in the garden as well. More flexibility, + pests control.

Looks like Composted Cow Manure, I use Black Cow and either chalk or bone meal. Sounds right.
