Preparing for BABY FERRETS!! - Check Out Our Nursery Build

Ferret mum "Yazoo" has 7 newborn baby ferret kits, and as they grow they will need space to stretch their legs, run and play. This of course will need to be a safe place, so we're setting up a safe nursery space for them. Check out how we turned our garden store room into a great ferret nursery!

So typical, lol! Introduce a ferret to a new area and the first thing they do is checkout how to escape. You literally have to climb inside their head to successfully ferret-proof. Great enclosure! Looks like easy clean-up too!

babies, i have had dozens of different animals as pets but none and i mean NONE stole my heart the way my female ferret did! absolute best pet!!

Nice build my friend but is there a reason why the nursery has to be far away from the main enclosure? Is it still fine that the baby’s are in a closed caged but still inside or near the main enclosure? Genuinely asking

Good question! They could of course be inside the main enclosure, just separate from the other adults. But as I had space in the other storage shed, then its more peaceful and more spacious for the nursery. If I made it in the enclosure, I'd have to take some space away from the adults, and also the adults would constantly be nosy and pestering trying to see in as they're so inquisitive! 😊

Looks like my Jill is pregnant she’s gain weight about 80-100 grams in about 3 weeks after she mated, her nipples are starting to showing too. I already built a nursery house but can I use Timothy Hay for her nursery bedding inside her house? Thank you
