I took a photography class at a local community college many years ago. First day of class the instructor says he has a music video for us to watch. It was this song. There were a lot of amazing visuals in the video so he wanted us to be inspired by it. Great song. Great album. Great video. Great band.
Metallica lyrics are usually very deep. It's actually a common writing style by lots of metal bands
This song means alot to me love metallica etc but mostly loved how you dealt with your daughter good man/dad
The Jest of the song is about James hetfield.. he grew up in a Christian Science family, he was restricted to listen to music among other restrictions.
His mom died of cancer and the belief taught her not to get therapy for it , that faith would heal her.
His father left the family, he grew up without family. He grew up being raised by others. The lyrics are about his childhood and the scars he has..

Metallica just dropped a new song yesterday, its called Lux AEterna. If you want a taste of brand new Metallica that the world is just waking up to. You won't be disappointed.

New metallica song is a generic rehash of something they did decades ago, but with added pop feel, synthetic sound and a solo that makes you wonder if kirk is ill.
Listened to it twice and have no desire to hear it a third time .

It's the ppl who are still waiting for some rehashed/remake/redo of 30+ yrs ago as if nothing will ever be good enough unless they go back to their Master of Puppets/And Justice For All days. I like the new song. Did it blow me away? No but it doesn't have to. They've already done that, they're 60 yrs old, they're still putting out quality music and that's good enough for me. I don't need every song of theirs to just blow my mind in order to still appreciate and respect their music.

If it's good and an honest effort, I will listen. This ain't that. And those true fans you speak of, we know this...

This album was the 1st album that they had a Producer....... This guy was the 1st guy to come in and push them to play better and change the songs around they had never done that they had never let anybody do that to them
