If you are someone with poorer eyesight then this might be a small concern, but i would say that the brightness is alright. Could be a bit better, but its definetly okay atleast for me
Have you ever had any issues with the app? I just received mine, download the app, do all the requirements to login etc and then it just closes and there’s no way to open the app. I’ve got already the last ios version and feel so lost right now… thank you very much
I was about to buy this online, and thank goodness, thankfully I checked it at their physical store to see it in personal. Only to find out this is NOT A TOUCHSCREEN watch. It saves my wallet. Wew! I don't really find this watch ideally for workouts and such without the touchscreen function.
I hate this thing with a passion. Did not want a running watch that needed to connect to my phone using an app to set it up. Give me the basics, pulse, pace, distance. That's all a runner needs. That's all I wanted. The rest is just pollution in the product for marketing.
You just have to connect once with the phone, all those features you get with the watch even when you’re not using the phone nearby, I don’t see the problem. Might want to look into a different product then
Thing is, the watch cannot maintain itself. Because of the limited space in the watch, it requires an external device- phone- to take care of it's updates and software, maintain the correct time and date etc. The software is maintained by garmin and updated if there are bugs. The watch doesn't have the capacity to do this. I assume it'd need to come with WiFi capabilites and an upgraded processor. How big would the watch be? That's how most digital things work. It's definitely frustrating as it takes away our autonomy to do things for ourselves. Unless you want to learn how to write code and create your own software...
How is the brightness on this watch? It looks pretty low in this video

Factory setting is 40%. Personally, 50% is pretty bright enough at night. Perhaps it looks too low in this video due to the angle.
The backlight for this watch is really subpar. I have an old Garmin 35 and the backlight is champion.
The brightness is a big issue for me
How do I change my the settings from lbs to kg and miles to kilometres on my Garmin Forerunner 55
You can do that under Format in the System Settings. This video should help you th-cam.com/video/V8KrK9DzUhY/w-d-xo.html

Android here. Forerunner 55 simply can´t connect anymore. Even the time now is wrong since battery died and I recharged it.
Does it have a track back feature?
Hello when I try to back it keeps saying wait for GPS for an hour
how to change the date?thanks

@Katarina71198 thanks for this info, I had a heart attack then, thought I'd still have to bring my phone 😂
