    "A warrior would rather be deafeated and die than act against his nature" Taylor seems to look down at the liquor bottle after saying that as if telling Steve to man up.

    This quote means something different to everyone. To me it means that I'm being forced to live a life that I didn't choose and that life is a way that is not who I am. The only way to change and become who you really are is to assume full responsibility of your life and those you have hurt or done wrong. Only then will you become and honest person, and when you're honest no one can call you a liar. Not even yourself.

      @johnrobinson1762 ปีที่แล้ว

      People lie all the time, people think going to work is full responsibility. Or doing what is satisfactory, meaning it meets basic requirements. More to the point is controlling your impulses. Ignoring this defeats conditioning, and it's that lack of conditioning that leads to a loss of virtue. Once that's gone it's open season on you.

    I guess its art imitating life craig has talked about his own problems with booze and drugs in the past. Indian gave him similar speech when he lived in shasta. He had a lot of respect for Sampson in this moive guy a shaman performed a cleansing on that set to get rid of bad vibes. But also get the sense that Craig may also have some tune in ability cause of the stuff he has gone through in his personal life his sense of humor must pull him through. In his bio he lost both his parents when he was a young man. Left hollywood for awhile came back swinging with stir crazy then poltergeist, he had some odd experiences happen to him in these moives it seems he has let a little droplets over the years. But still strong dude. Probable why he no longer wanted to do a third one.

    A great scene. Though the dialoge is almost a straight rip-off out of one of Castaneda's books.
    Don Juan speaks to Castaneda about the way of the warrior. First he speaks to him in a sympathetic warm way about being like a leaf in the wind. He seems to know that Castaneda has been feeling helpless deep inside, that he always felt as if he's been at the mercy of others. He tells it in such a way that Castaneda begins to cry as he recalls how he's been treated. Then suddenly Don Juan changes his voice and points at the self pity that Castaneda indulges in. He tells him that a warrior always assumes responsibility for everything in his life. Self pity will get him killed in the world of the warrior. He needs to get a grip, stop moping like a baby and start acting like a warrior. Impeccable and pliant.

      consciously yet. Being on this path means to stop "feeling sorry for yourself" and "take full responsibillity ...".

      Sam, a lot of people for many years have thought that, but I knew Sonny, (Will), personally, and sadly he was suffering from the disease of scleroderma way back in 1979. Few people ever knew how badly he was suffering since he never showed it, never complained, and never missed a day on the set of a current movie or TV show. There were days he couldn't get out of bed from his lungs being so compromised. On the set of Fish Hawk in 1979, he had to use oxygen behind the scenes to get through each day. His doctor put Sonny on steroids and he gained weight and breathed better, but when he stopped taking them due to bad side effects, his condition deteriorated very quickly. The only CURSE was that Sonny's body was ravaged by scleroderma by 1986, and so weak and run down he only lived a short while after a successful heart and lung transplant in 1987. Sonny always kept positive, never was angry about his condition, and always hoped he would recover and resume his painting and acting. He was a role model for HOPE, FAITH and COURAGE!!!
