Banning Police Motors are Back!

City of Banning Residents & Travelers - In the effort to decrease traffic collisions, injuries and create a safer city, the Banning Police Department has re-implemented the Traffic Division and Motor Officer Position.
The Motor Officer Position was discontinued a decade ago, but with the uptick of traffic related injuries, citizen complaints, damage to personal property and traffic related fatalities, the City of Banning has reimplemented a proactive approach to mitigate traffic related issues. We have heard our citizens loud and clear and are happy to announce the reinstatement of the Banning Police Department Motor Program.
The Banning Police Department is looking to decrease traffic collisions by reminding drivers about reducing their speed citywide, ensuring pedestrian safety especially amongst our youth who walk to and from school and cross major intersections. We look forward to the impact this will make, creating a safer city to work, live in and visit.
