- Join us as we check out the NEW Austria area of Europa Park in Germany! This area of the park was destroyed by a large fire last year and for 2024 the park have completely re-built it and also created a brand new experience. In this vlog we share on ride POV’s from the newly updated Alpen Express and Tiroler Log Flume. We also check out the NEW Adventure Trail and Magical Valley of Diamonds!

How did they build this in 1 year but DLP takes 5 years for a frozen boat ride clone! This puts Disney to shame
Disney is a shame anyway in my opinion 😅
Its because Disney does not have money anymore and their construction projects take YEARS to complete...compared to other companies that have actual money to spend.
@@demonoid7469They have plenty of money. Far deeper pockets than Mack Family. They just choose to take their customers for granted.
Don’t forget, in Paris it’s new land expansion so it takes longer and they are building infrastructure for more expansion further in the future. Also during all this they had an entire hotel refurb and the current refurb of the majority of Disney village. They also have had to replace all the entrance flooring and the majority of the fantasyland flooring. Overall it’s a tonne of work and that’s why it’s taking longer than you’d expect. Basically my point is they are doing tonnes of other stuff ontop of frozen land

It looks lovely and great fun and the whole area looks great but....i miss the atmosphere and magical vibe of the diamond mine and kind of shame never rebuilt it. Still you can tell it was a redesigned with love. Also love C for preaching the bargains!
it's way worse than it was before in my opinion. The cave was essential and without it it's nowhere near the same

Everyone who says the old cave was better is just mostly nostalgic. The old trail was magical - yes - but so much lower in quality and far less interesting. The old diamond mine never had lots of crowds.
And they kept the heart of the old area, the gift shop with the tunnel. If the smell will come back as well this area is far superior.
But I have to agree that the log flume has far less to see. At least right now, maybe they will add more theming.
They were not allowed to rebuild it. Regulations have changed

I love 2 lap coasters. Rushing through the station is quite atmospheric and cheering makes it good fun 👍. Also I have to say the car design with shaped seats and adjustable lap bars is far better for taking kids on with you. Looks great!

I love what they did. It's amazing how much they achieved! I think they could improve:
1) Water from the log flume now spills over the trough below onto what _used_ to be the fast strobe tunnel section on the Alpenexpress, I've seen this happen a couple times already
2) The first helix looks very empty, hopefully over the next couple weeks they can add more shade and greenery - the area used to feel very secret and lush before, though at least the foliage will grow naturally over time. I do think the landscaping round that bit could be improved though, e.g. before the train used to be "closer to the ground" because the terrain was higher towards the track
Looking forward to seeing what they do over the next 2 weeks and further :)

The upper trail walk ways were open on Saturday. My kids had a walk around them. They spent ages exploring

Wish the U.K. theme parks were as well themed as they are in Europe. We absolutely do need a universal studios back at home in the U.K.

To be honest, this kind of puts Chessington to shame. They’ve had an SBNO powered coaster for nearly 3 years and Europa have replaced theirs in less than one!
It’s Merlin so no surprises 😅
That's because Mack is both the owner of the park and manufacturer of the coaster.
@@rfastravers8841 They still have to pay for the steel used to manufacture the coaster! Also, a Mack powered coaster with a very short layout like scorpion express is not very expensive

Hi it’s very upset about the fire that happen but it’s good they rebuilt and made it better unlike the uk with most stuff
It was very sad however it’s great that they built this in less than a year!
Hopefully the gift shop still sells the incense that used to be used in the old cave. But watching this video, I'll need to put a few drops in the incense burner while I get some work done.

I looked up POVs of the old alpen express and I hope theming on the scale of the indoor diamond mine is still in the plans for the proper opening. I understand if the show building was a fire hazard but hopefully they can still put some smaller little indoor theming inside some of those tunnels

I went to Europa Park twice last year after the fire, the first time only three days after, and have never been on these two rides. I`m going next week for 3 days and was disappointed when they announced the re-opening date. Now they are having a "soft opening" hopefully I will get to ride them now.

What I loved about this previously was that it was three cool rides in one space: a log ride, a coaster, and a walk-through. Is the walk-through still open?
The walkthrough is now the pathways and bridges!
Looks fab something like that in Alton Towers, Thorpe park , Cheesington, or Flamingo land be good x

The new seating area looking into the coaster and log flume reminds me of a similar seating area themed into Valravn at Cedar Point. Its nice, but still leaves me with questions in how they fit in with the neighboring area(s). Like does it negatively effect the Spain area having that view into that section of the rides since its fairly alpine compared to the more Andalusian vibe of the Spain area, or do the kinetics and extra viewing angle cancel out the clash of themes?

Haha, that's what I'm starting to think. Multiple times in the same park, big upgrades to attractions quickly after it each time. They must get some good insurance payouts.

Hi Shawn, I was at Alton towers yesterday and i was just wondering what the a-phone is used for on attractions at the resort I know you used to work there, if you don’t know that’s fine.😃
You cannot film on any of the rides, no matter what device you have.
The a-phone is usually from a position in the queue or ride entrance, for that members of staff to contact the operator in the cabin!
Hey Shawn, when you go on your Asia trip in June I hope you do take Charlotte on more and more water rides if it’s a nice hot sunny day and if Charlotte is wearing her poncho 😂😂😂😂 I hope you take Charlotte on splash mountain in Tokyo Disneyland and Aquatopia in Tokyo Disney sea 😂😂😂😂

Since I'm very sceptical on Therme, I'm going to predict it won't ever be built, and it will remain a blank plot of land for years, and in 2031, i will go to the location to see if my prediction of Therme manchester never being built has come true
If i ever run into Therme themselves, i will tell them "Therme, you lied to us! You said you were going to give Manchester a new waterpark, then you broke your promises and never built it! The UK needs better than that!"
