- Come and join us as we start our trip to Europa Park in Germany by travelling from London Stansted Airport to Karlsruhe Baden Baden! We show you our flight on board Ryanair, along with showing you how to get from the airport to the park via public transport. We also take you for a full tour of the Moxy Hotel located in Rust, just a 10 minute walk from the park entrance!

Because of you guys we stopped been arm chair travellers this Feb and headed to Hamburg to the wonders of Miniatur Wunderland, Europa Park is our next goal, hopefully in December (christmas tree heaven) I just wish the airport was closer! Without your vlogs of your adventures we would of never of taken the first steps of seeing all these wonderful places! Bless you both!!

I agree! I'm going to cedar point for the second time in 2 years, and went to Busch gardens last fall. A big inspiration was the enjoyment I hit from watching their vlogs and remembering how much I enjoyed both parks years ago when I was younger 😊

As a local resident, I can confirm that you can sometimes take a direct train from Baden-Baden to Freiburg via Ringsheim train station. I personally tried out the Voltron last Wednesday, and I was impressed by how fast it ran.

This is great as I was just looking at this earlier and noticed Baden Baden airport is the nearest direct flight. Due to next year being my big 50 I was thinking of going to Europa park to celebrate it

It was because of you 2 that I finally visited Germany and went to Europa Park, which was my first time organising a trip in a foreign country, I was very nervous about doing it but my dad isn't very tech savvy and we wanted time together. Going to Europa Park was honestly excellent and I'd gladly go back and was impressed at the theming. Now planning to go to Spain for the first time to see Portaventura. I also saw Voltron in construction and that was pretty cool! I cannot fault the people of Rust, it was honestly so fantastic and I want to go back in the next couple of years!

You can do the entire trip (all busses and trains) for just 15.80 € if you specify “Flughafen Karlsruhe/Baden Baden“ as start of your journey and Europa-Park, Rust“ as your destination when booking with Deutsche Bahn. Since this is regional transit exclusively you could also purchase the entire journey, including the trains, on the ticket machine at the airport for the same price. No need fo pre-booking in this case.

If you don't want to pay for the expensive breakfast you can hang a bottle of milk out the long window on the left that opens to keep it cold. Then have bfast in your room

Love the travel vlogs too - as someone who has never been to Europa park it certainly makes me want to go with my 10 year old boy for sure. The Rulantica vlogs from last year also made me eager to go last year.. however the costs do certainly add up everytime I look.

A lot of people complain about Ryanair, but you’re lucky to have it. Our low-cost airlines in the US aren’t all that low cost, have very limited amounts of airports they fly into, and often only fly there twice a week.
They are great in my opinion!
I'm going in September, but doing phantasialand first and taking the train down to Europe park.

Never been on a double decker train, how strange.
Never heard of Moxy Hotels either. We stayed at hotel F1 Strasbourg when we did Europa Park because we were on the way back from a cheap Europe trip. The toilets and showers are shared though not en suite. Beds were rubbish, our camping one was comfier but you get what you pay for.
I’d like to do a week at Hotel Bell Rock once my sons gets to 1m so he can go on most of the family rides.

Just a quick note: The town in Germany is called Baden-Baden. Baden is a german region AND a town in Switzerland. DO NOT mix it up! Believe me, there are too many people ending up in the wrong town (around 200 kilometers from the supposed destination.)
I think Stansted is the first UK airport to have those new 3D scanners that allow you to take liquids 👍
You should definitely go to Alton towers on may 4th. Meet me on towers street just after 10AM. It’s the band forming celebration.

Hi Shawn, I'm always surprised that visitors from other countries (especially the UK) think they have to buy an extra ticket for each part of the journey 😅. You can buy a single ticket for the entire trip including all buses and trains. Simply enter the airport as the start point and the park as the destination in the DB app or website. Then you get a ticket for the entire journey. This is cheaper and there is no need to buy another one from the machine or the driver.
On the other hand, I always find it super annoying, especially in England, when you have to pay extra for different means of transport. Sometimes even for bus routes in the same city because they are operated by different companies. Well at least that's a little easier in Germany and other European countries 😊.

But I'm also sorry that you had to learn the hard way that the concept of queuing does not exist in Germany 😢. For me the chaos at the opening actually felt quite normal. I'm always impressed by the discipline in Britain when it comes to waiting in line. I hope your experiences teach our fellow theme park fans over here a little bit of british politeness 🙃.

Also, I think you need to make use of your celeb status now. You should get onto Europe Park and get them to give you access all areas, speak to the park manager and bypass all the usual stuff regular folk do when visiting. Not for every vlog but for when you want an exclusive or an interview with any interesting people from behind the scenes at the parks.

Didn't know Baden-Baden even had flights. Probably would've been a lot less of a hassle to go via Basel from Madrid vs Frankfurt and all of the issues I had with DB. Can't believe its been two years since I was out at Europa, and almost two years since I returned from my semester abroad in Spain-which along with Japan are high on the list to get to in the short term (mostly with the World's Fair in Osaka and the next major solar eclipse crossing through Madrid [in addition for having to give Port Aventura a miss just with how scheduling worked at the time])

Going into Asia will be at least easier on the ground once you land. Haneda isn’t bad with the filling out the entry card. Beijing international might be a problem as the terminal is so big. Also try to take the train to Shanghai not fly it as it’s an easy option. Hong kong you would definitely fly as the road entry from Guangzhou is not very good and takes a while thanks to the checkpoint being backed up a lot. Pudong has been having issues lately.
