- An estimated 8 million tons of plastic enter our oceans every year. That’s equal to a truckload of plastic being dumped into the world’s seas every minute. Most of that comes from our rivers.
Plastic is not only an issue when it comes to its disposal, but its production generates large volumes of greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to the climate crisis, scientists argue.
With the annual flow of plastic into the ocean set to triple by 2040 without immediate action… could Litterbooms be part of the solution? Let’s investigate, and find out exactly how litterbooms work.

Plastic can be tackled by litterboom, but it is also imperative to stop pouring sewage into rivers.
I don,t see it disposed of .the whole riverbank is full of plastic. This doesnt help. Throw it on a wastedump or sell it. Dont let it laying around. And educate the people

Thank you for your good job. Please also do see the video’s of #TropicalOceanCleanup for exchanging idea’s and possibilities.
Thanks Linda, great video on the importance of trash, litter barriers. Problem is we need 1000's of them and cost is an object for most 3rd world countries where the biggest problems are. Hence the invention of the river trash Kabooms, made from used tires and plastic bottles. They are nearly free to make, nearly indestructible and even can withstand a Typhoon.
