I want to put in a plug for miss Sophie Tucker from Hartford Ct. and her famous song After your gone circa 1915. And so many more she made famous.

“When you and I were young Maggie” was written for Maggie Clarke Johnson by her husband George. Maggie died very young of TB and is buried in the family plot near Binbrook, Ontario where her husband was a teacher.

I know I must’ve hung around with the wrong crowd because even before you named the song Margie I was singing along to it. It was very few of them I don’t know and I don’t know how this is happened. I’m also a wizard and show tunes. I can play them but I hack them you played them the way they should be. I don’t get to see you on Sunday nights but a tune in usually on Monday or Tuesday in the evening to watch you on my phone and I certainly enjoy you. Tonight I can’t remember what town in Colorado you were in that that it makes a difference I am here and sunny New England tonight. Thank you Adam

Thanks to TH-cam I don't have to choose between Adam and the Super Bowl(way to go KC).

Compline at Christ Church Anglican (Savaannah) got first place. Third quarter of the Super Bowl got second priority, Adam to be enjoyed at my leisure -- several times over.

"When You and I Were Young, Maggie" was used to great comic effect in the W.C. Fields classic "The Old Fashioned Way." I can still hear Jan Duggan's shrill voice and see Field's face, as he tries to tolerate it!

(And yes, I'm aware that she also belts "Gathering Up Shells from the Seashore" and other tunes!)

Isn’t it romantic, or the way you look tonight my funny Valentine these are three that came to my mind on Monday night. Maybe for next year I don’t think there’s a better one than the way you look tonight. Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire I think it’s from flying down to Rio but I could be wrong gorgeous sorry.

You might want to find the sheet music to her first hit movie Klondike Ani I believe that was circa 1931 and in it she sings a song I’ve been looking for for years called I am an accidental woman in an oriental mood for love. You’ve played some really good ones tonight so far I am really enjoying it tonight but I always do. I’d love to see you in person someday you put your heart and soul in it.

How Are things in Glocca mora is a delightful song from the musical Finian’s rainbow. It appears often enough and anthologies of movie music and I think he would find at a lonely song to play. I’d like to hear you sing one of these days.
