I really have to have a look at it at the end of this year as this year is going to be a big spend year and the cost of genuine volvo parts are creeping up fast. I will be doing a cost breakdown at the end but we have to factor in many things - the lift in and out is around £400+ in total, general service parts last year came to around £150 per outdrive including oil / refinishing as the bellows didn't need replacing but will this year - engines, it has been difficult to price as I already had a significant number of spares, however just the two impellors that I have changed are more than £100 now, but as I do alot of the work myself it has been just the component / oil and filter costs. I make sure that the oil is changed regularly and that includes the oil in the turbo as well - but I will try and do a full 'Boats.co.uk' style breakdown later this year.
Great video and a lovely boat! Could you do a video outline how much it costs to run your boat (and the difference between this and your old one) Mooring fees, insurance, maintenance and fuel with a comparison between how much diesel you use on the broads compared to at cruise speed please. Also with the radar arch down will it go under the bridge at gt Yarmouth into the northern broads? And if so will it get under the bridge at ludam up the river ant? Sorry for all the questions
Hi Simon, great idea and one that I will work on - Gt Yarmouth is interesting because there is such a tidal difference, without the arch down, there would already be opportunities to get under... although it is indeed dodgy as you are very shallow - however, I will get the arch down this week and film it! I tend to avoid areas such as the Ant over the summer months as a previous boat sustained a substantial amount of damage.. but that is another matter ... certainly be in a better position to pop the comparison together at the end of the season!
I think it is really important to really understand the market today - the price difference between our S34 and say a modern C330 would be somewhere near £200,000 or $250,000 - so the market for older boats is very strong. We have done our best to update the boat as did the previous owners, but a completely redesigned interior - now that would be amazing - sadly they are super expensive! Thank you for your comment!
Really enjoyed this video .. thanks for uploading 👍
My pleasure
Nice boat as a starting ⛵ boat good review 👍😃👍😃🇬🇧
Thanks 👍
Great video - what are you looking wt annually for service costs on the engines and out drives?

Barf boat
😆
Compared to today’s boats interior and standard, these old 15+ boats are so ugly. Exterior is ok but interior 🤮and they ask so much 💰for them…😅😂
