@@JoeBurby For me it's the best looking car on the market. I really like that the rear window is gone and replace with a camera. Build quality is excellent. Rear seat space fells like you are in a limo. Nappa leather is amazing, and you get ventilated and massage seat in the front. My wife have Polestar 2 and that's also an amazing car, but the P4 is just on a total different level. My advise would be go to a Polestar space and see it yourself.
I checked out the 4 recently at Polestar here in Melbourne. Didn’t drive it yet, but I was super impressed by the design, fit and finish. Really gorgeous package overall. It’s now shot to the top of my list for a new car.
Great looking vehicle. As a Tesla Model Y owner I can say the rear visibility is poor which is made worse by the heavily tinted rear windows. Using the mirror in the Y gives a letter box poor view of what is going on behind. So having a camera and digital / video screen mirror is actually a great idea. Polestar has demonstrated that this screen/mirror has a much better view than you would get in a conventional setup like in my Model Y.
Because it is. Polestar is closer to Tesla than it is to Porsche. In USA at least service network is terrible and customer service is not great that much better. P2 has a horrible score from consumer report magazine. Hey but is a nice car….very well designed…..!
This car should not be compared to the model Y. It is completely in a different league and more high-end. Comparing it to a Tesla is an insult to Polestar.
SEA architecture is not underpinning the Polestar 3. The 3 is built on Volvo's SPA2-platform, which is also why it is built in Volvo's factories in China and in the United States - whereas the Polestar 4 is built in Geely's factory alongside the Zeekr 001 and other SEA-vehicles.
I have a Polestar 2 ... fantastic vehicle. One of the things I really love about it is the map in the driver's display. Why is Polestar taking a leaf out of the Tesla playbook and eliminating cool (and actually useful) features?
Realistically the price of a dual motor with a couple of options will be close to 110-120k. I personally like it, but it's an increasingly harder proposition, with the wave of cheap (and very appealing) EVs coming out of China. Still better than other traditional car makers (see I4 xdrive for example).
It's kind of cool how you can get a base one for under the LCT (thereby qualifying for lease incentives) or you can go hard on an optioned-up AWD model.
I'm so happy they deleted the plastic cladding they had all over the front, rear and sides. It looks so much more elegant and cleaner now. Love how plush and comfy the interior looks too. I just feel like sitting inside it. Lol
P4 has almost the same body design as the Zeekr 001,(Geely Holdings) volvo,Polestar ,Lotus ,Zeekr , Smart, Radar, LYNK&Co,LEVC, Farizon, Proton, under the same parent group. I'll buy the 001 instead, gorgeous interior when I saw it at a dealer shop.
You didn't tell us if this is using an NMC or LFP battery. Personally I wouldn't consider an NMC solely because they can go into thermal runaway far easier.
The torque figures are so low on the single motor spec, VW ID7 single motor has 540 Nm, BMW I5 400 Nm, ... This one only only 340 Nm. Polestar 2 single motor has 490 Nm. So I don't get why they gave the Polestar 4, which the promote as their sporty vehicle, not more torque. 0-100 in 7.1s is just slow.
Decent specs, attractive design and awesome range, expensive. I just can't get over the feeling that it's an over priced Geely with a dumb blanked-off rear window. Will depreciate like crazy as well. I'm not totally sold on this.
Nice car but price is the kicker. If I had 140k to spend (fully loaded p4), I would be wanting something that has everything the Polestar does AND brand cachet. Polestar doesn’t have it, at all. It just wouldn’t even ping on my radar.
@@Twenty1world it’s a Swedish car. Same with Volvo. Swedish. All work on the car and first polestars and Volvos get manufactured in Sweden in Volvos manufactur. All work on the car is done in Sweden. Actual decent looking ev suv, can’t stand Tesla design

A really good looking car! I don't understand why you would compare this to a Model Y, which is much lower in quality and less premium.

The black cladding is the design preference actually and was the design that won the car of the year design awards. Removes visual bulk aka Polestar 5
Can't wait for a full on-road review. Seems to be priced very competitively.

Sure if you live in China
Does Polestar 4 come with Dashcam included or as an extra?
Too wide in my opinion at 2.2m. good luck parking that into tight spots at the shops and getting out.
You didn't tell us if this is using an NMC or LFP battery. Personally I wouldn't consider an NMC solely because they can go into thermal runaway far easier.
That’s ridiculous - the rate of ICE cars combusting is higher than EVs
Have they released crash test results yet? Geely seems to cheap out on that lately (see Volvo EX30, which killed 2 young people in a recent accident).
The add ons are just way too expensive.

Aye they'll be slowly all removing the rear window in future models now.
Good review ...VW had better pick up the pace the pace with their EV's 😮
Why did they have to remove that rear window
I kinda like it❤
just hoping, no rear screen doesn't catch on, like no instruments in front of driver. No thanks.

I think the Macan 4 tops it if that who Polestar are trying to compete with
Macan is much more expensive.
It’s a Froot not a Frunk!
