Good information, do you know how I can just make them use half the room? They are currently left and right of my TV near the wall so I don't want them to spin and shine on the wall I just want them to do a light show Infront of the TV, thanks in advance.
RICH S: about making changes with ur light without a DMX controller. U should try one or rent one as it totally opens this equipment to do exactly what you want it to do. But if u don't have access to one continue to read my reply. Rich Spencer : hi there saw your question and just wanted to advise that you can actually fine tune these lights. You can fine tune everything from pan, tilt, colour, gobo. These lights have hidden features but it's all trike and error on finding them. I'll try to keep it simple. •in the menu select address. (Should say AD001) push and hold the "enter" button. •once that menu opens u can go thru what exactly you want to fix using the "up & down" keys. •push and hold enter again to save your colour, gobo, pan/tilt settings. Hope this helped you out. If not experiment with holding buttons on ur unit to open hidden fine tuning options. All the best.
Thats brilliant I was messing around with the settings and I got them working opposite but couldn't work out how I'd done it, have you any idea how I could stop them spinning all the way around because I've actually got a wall directly behind them so I just need them to do the light show in front. If you could help me with this I would be very grateful.
@nathan PH what if you turn the powerbrick to 'off'. Will the two lights remember their settings when you switch power on again? Would be handy if one was going to place them on the ceiling.
All new to this so sorry to be thick Do lights all have to match or can they be 2,4,6,8 different types of light fittings moving head/scanner/4way etc..? Just would like all to sync flashing wise but not all faffing/setting up of full dmx
Hey got a question, is there a way I can set the lights to stay on as a certain design so it won't change, like I want to stay as a circle 🔴 and not change to any other design. Can you help me
Hi NathanI want to use a moving head for a moving figures display . I would like to ask you the moving heads that you used for the demo they have a motorised focus and if no from a distance of 4 to 6 metre how small can the spot get . Benny
hello sir. i have mini moving head but sadly i've set it on RST mode. after that, the unit was just chilling and vibrating. what will i do? thank you sir
I plan on getting this disco light soon. Is this safe for home use? I love disco lights and a huge fan of them. I heard some people connect it to a computer. Do I have to connect it to the computer in order for it to work? Or can I plug it into the wall and have it work like that?
Hi Jordan, Yes these are safe for home use. You don't need to connect it to a computer, no. That's only if you want the ability to control the colours, patterns and movements. You can simply set the light to sound-to-light and it'll move and run a built in show to the beat of the music. Hope this helps! --Nathan
Nathan PH ok awesome. So if I put it on sound activate mode and if I do just dance on my switch. It’ll pick up from the sound from my stereo speakers right? I recently got a disco light from I think China for Christmas. Not the same one, I got one of those party light ones with the grey circle and the remote. However the light works fine the remote doesn’t work at all. I even noticed for the first time after unwrapping the gift and plugging it in it turned on without me clicking the power button. Odd. Only like 2 buttons on the remote work. Even exchanged the battery’s and still doesn’t work. So I’m gonna try to get this disco light and hopefully this one will work better then those other ones I got for Christmas. It’s always been bad luck for me getting disco lights for Christmas. My other one was those double disco lights and the motor broke the next day. So hopefully these ones will work good. And i think the ones with the remote I got were from China,
Yes it'll 'just work' to the music in sound to light mode, like I show in this video :) Yes lots of Chinese cheapo lights are really horrendous quality, These are reasonably OK for the money and can be used on the road for bands, musicians, discos etc.. And actually keep working. Hope this helps! --Nathan
Not necessarily. Only the slave needs to be on DMX channel 1. Its just better to default them to channel 1 to save time if you're setting them up and down often (e.g. pop-up disco).
This is the same lights I have . Been trying to figure out what kind they are and trying to find a manual for them . Your video was great . I bought mine used and I couldn't find a brand name .
Hi, Yes they are actually generic unbranded lights straight out of china. So they won't have an actual 'real brand' name on them. You're very welcome and glad this was some help. Thanks, Nathan.
+Gamer51 yes you can, as DMX is a universal protocol that all lighting effects use to communicate and be controlled. It may take a little while to get setup correctly, but just try it and play away! It can't hurt or damage anything :)
Missing probably the most important parts in both videos - what they look like in a dark room with the video showing the entire room as well as the price ... thanks for sharing though
finally. a clear video explanation 2withought using a software.

while using a dmx controller in moving heads< how do i make them form cross or X while in motion?
@nathan PH what if you turn the powerbrick to 'off'. Will the two lights remember their settings when you switch power on again? Would be handy if one was going to place them on the ceiling.
Thanks! You really helped me out! Now I'm trying to figure out why one of my lights is stuck on the gobo setting all the time!!! Help!
All new to this so sorry to be thick

can you show how to set it up with a DMX
How do you set the pan tilt so they don't shine "back" into mine (the djs) eyes when they are at the front of the booth? Cheers
can you get them to do just 180 degree so just out front not all round ?
can you pair with another device like led bar? (moving head + led bar)
Hey got a question, is there a way I can set the lights to stay on as a certain design so it won't change, like I want to stay as a circle 🔴 and not change to any other design. Can you help me
I would say take the gobo wheel out
Oh ok sounds good I'll have to try that
Wonderful explanation. I really appreciate. Thanks

don't you have the fixture to freestyler?
hello sir. i have mini moving head but sadly i've set it on RST mode. after that, the unit was just chilling and vibrating. what will i do? thank you sir
hello Can I ask what if,you have rjbw and you have also moving head,my question now,you need a different controller or not?
great review,do these lights hold there settings after tuning them off.after adjusting them.cheers
Yes they do indeed remember the DMX addresses and other settings you apply to them. Hope this helps and many thanks for the feedback! Glad to help.
that's great.thanks very much .
Do you use software to control these? What do you use?
whats the brightness like? installing a secondary rig in a pub. smallish room prob seats 50 - 100 people...
These small moving heads tend to sport a 15 Watt lamp. Its powerful enough for your needs.
Good video. Nice and clear instructions

Is there a setting in master/slave setup so the heads won’t spin 360
Hi can you do the same thing for four moving heads
+KeetanHD You certainly can! You could scale this up to Infinate amounts of them in fact. Hope this helps! :)
Ok so in order for them to be the same you'll leave them in the same channel ?
Not necessarily. Only the slave needs to be on DMX channel 1. Its just better to default them to channel 1 to save time if you're setting them up and down often (e.g. pop-up disco).
Excellent, many thanks for posting.

Hi, just a quick question, can you have two moving heads but different companies both linked to dmx? Great video by the Way!
+Gamer51 yes you can, as DMX is a universal protocol that all lighting effects use to communicate and be controlled.
It may take a little while to get setup correctly, but just try it and play away! It can't hurt or damage anything :)
+Nathan PH thanks so much for your quick reply, I will soon be setting up my own lights, thanks again!
so, is there no way to get it off of gobo without a controller??
so...I have a controller...but I still dont know how to change gobo!
Great Video

This is a great tutorial! Thanks!!!

Did you read the title? This is not a review. The title was explicit "setting up". There tons of review videos on moving heads.
That’s great info.
