- In today’s video we do one of the most effective modifications for the n55 bmw engine. This mod gives you 70+ horsepower with a tune. Many people get their catless or high flow downpipe from places like VRSF but I got this from AliExpress which is the same company that supplies the one you find on eBay and my review is the parts are virtually identical in quality and performance. My f10 is now ready for its intercooler and a tune so I can make 400hp or more in my 535i.
I put vrsf catless dp on my f33, with vrsf front mount intercooler, and chargepipe and tuned it to stage 2 using mhd. Everything was great EXCEPT the smell. Before you install this just be aware that youll fail emissions if your state does that, gas efficiency goes down, and smell is very strong at least for me. I had to go back to stock dp. When I had it installed it didn't throw up any codes but you should tune shortly after if you make this mod

is it 3 inch or 3.5? All others such as VRSF and RVG sell only 3.5 or 4 inch.
im pretty sure PreLCI f10 models so 2011-2013 is 3.5, because they are pwg, and 2014-2016 is 4.0 (EWG)

It’s certainly better than a Jack and Jack stands. And if you are limited on ceiling height it’s the best you’re going to get I think. If I had space for a full size lift I would get it. Also I got mine on offer up for half price so check your local area see if someone is selling one
Would you recommend this to someone who doesn't have any other engine mods and doesn't plan to tune? I ask b/c I need to replace catalytic converter, why not with this instead?
You need to tune otherwise you’ll have a check engine light and can’t pass emissions.

@@SeedfulMusic you can do it yourself with MHD. It’s an app on android and iPhone
Does the VSRF prevent codes so it can pass emissions test or is that a thing i gotta buy separate?
It doesn’t come with anything. I only drove it around the block and I didn’t get any codes. But If you are doing this you will need a tune. I did MHD to be sure which is all I needed to pass in AZ. Where are you located?
@@JonIbrahim Ohio, my buddy got some kind of thing to make the sensors think there is still cats installed but i guess that is a separate purchase
@@MotoRacer171 yeah You don’t need it if you do an MHD tune. Probably better to spend the money on the tune in my opinion.

Did the check engine come on?

I did use the original one. Fit perfect
is it the same process for m850i 2020?
No I’m guessing you have the n63 motor where the downpipes are located at the top back of the engine different process

@@jmoney6005 I did yes. It took 2-3 weeks for shipping and solid quality. I order a decent amount of stuff from AliExpress. It’s just like eBay parts but longer shipping times.

So no fitment issues and performance on the long run is all good ??
