I know a lot of people give Alder crap about being forgettable but he's actually one of my favorite champions.
Since Diantha I've given Alder a lot more respect
I love his theme
I like Alder too. He's not my favorite Champion but he's still pretty cool... and he has very good tastes in Pokemon, Volcarona is epic!

@Merciless Freak I enjoy Alder as well! While his battle was meaningful as well, Cynthia had a bigger impact on me. That's all I'm saying :)
This is how my first meeting with Cynthia in Black and White went:
Me: *Just randomly walking through Undella Town entering every house.*
Cynthia's music theme: *Starts playing.*
Me: *Immediately gets a flashback about how I got destroyed by Cynthia in the Gen 4 games.*

But I was just 7 or 8 years old when Black and White came out, so that's probably reason enough.

I actually used my playthrough team like 20 levels under to beat Cynthia. Idk how, I just rolled up into one of the hardest fights in Pokemon and said "y o"

Yeah I mean even Cynthia got a remix of her original but alder who already had a Gen 5 theme he gets the normal trainer theme

I just love fighting against these two tough pokemon trainers!
It's unfortunate not a lot of videos feature someone playing these in set battle.

I remember this fight lol when I first battle her I had lvl 60 pokemon and she throws out a lvl 80....first off my reaction 😱😱....second I turned my game off and walked away like nothing ever happened 🤣🤣

Alder acts and looks similar to Professor Oak. Could Alder be related to Oak in a way? They both have Grandsons who are champions in a way, Blue is the Champion of the Kanto region and Benga is the Champion of the Black Tower/ White Treehole.

i thought in gen 5 they changed it so you couldn't get a status condition of your type:
Electric Types can't be Paralyzed
Fire Types can't be Burned
Ice Types can't be Frozen.

The other night I had a strange dream that I was playing pokemon black (or white) 2 and I was on a cliff whit red, and he was freaking talking (like it was a rom hack or something, not a live action lol) and he was talking about being a strong trainer, and taking good care of pokemon, or other generic bullshit, and then he said something like this "I can't take care of this pokemon right now, I hope you can train it" and it was a freaking cyndaquil (don't know why, but my theory is that he gives a jhoto starter of the type that is weak to your starter)
Well I really wanted to tell this weird dream, I hope someone can explain why red gave me a cyndaquil instead of a charmander :D

When I first saw cynthia in here I screamed I'm like "don't drag me into battle" then my dumbass accidentally spammed a and accepted the battle
Lol, I remember accepting thinking that she would have her team with levels similar to when you first challenge her in DPPT. Imagine my suprise when she had rematch level teams.
Alder is the worst champion. They didn't even use his champion theme here but they gave Cynthia 2 themes in this game

I thought she would be easier since I saw the levels in Black and White, but then, I challenged her in my White 2 game and didn't think that the levels would be higher than my White game until I battled her.
