Man, Prevail seems very chill and down to earth, despite the incredible talent. Very interesting watch, always so refreshing to see someone being humble and having fun. Great stuff.
What a great video. Really dope. Glad the algorithm pulled it up. Loved Swollen Members from way back. I have some experience with freestyles on stage. For me it is about stacking hours. The more practice the better. Was lucky to find a open mic with a live band playing Hip Hop covers. The best experience I had was freestyling with KRS on stage and getting props. I would freestyle non stop. Still do every single day. I also learned to slow down over time which really helps with breath control. I was never big or anything. But Hip Hop changed my life.
Wow.. really glad to see this boss .. I must truly confess you inspired me more than how I knew you before…. I prayed your music 🎷 continue to rain 🌧 like rain… that always come back everywhere 🫡💯💕✨
Thank for sharing brotha. I've been writing rap and poetry for 10 years and recording here and there for 8 and now I'm about to take it to the streets as I do a cross country road trip. These are great tips that I will implement out there.
that was dope man...mentorism is the best teaching...great tips and awesome content and info...I'm bringing hip hop to VR in somniumspace to make it limitless
Sup man dope vid, can you breakdown what 'Tech Riders & Working With The Sound Crew' is into simple terms? I'm takin notes to this video right now trying to be prepared for rehearsal and stuff until I perform. I wanna rock out and make ppl feel like they belong, being in a good mood while I perform. Moreover, just reply back to me whenever you can and keep up the great work!
Hey! Prevail moderate these comments but we do! A tech rider is a document you send to the promoter in advance to tell them your sound/lighting/stage requirements. You can check out our episode on Soundchecks for more! th-cam.com/video/0kgb2_Ci7Qc/w-d-xo.html
I have my first performance tmrw, I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m a bit worried because I’m 14 but the people there are probably in their 30s so idk how they’ll feel about me being younger.
I always have trouble hearing my beat on stage. What should I do? I physically can’t perform. Oh and should I play my instrumental without vocals or with vocals?
Get in ear monitors! Some harmonies and doubles in the backing tracks - especially in the chorusses, really make your live sound fatter. All the pros do it too so don't feel bad
