Hi, When I use Bluetooth for audio the scroll wheel on the steering wheel works different from when using AUX for audio. Using AUX in can scroll through the menu items on the screen in Android auto, using Bluetooth scrolling the wheel wil skip to the next song in the music app. Is there something I can do to fix this?
Hi. I don't know what the solution would be for this problem, but I think you should ask the seller from whom you bought the module, I hope he will help you.
@@roberthajduk4409 No, I go this answer from AUTOABC: It sounds like you're experiencing a difference in behavior between your car's Bluetooth connection and the AUX connection when controlling media via your steering wheel. This is actually a common issue, and it typically boils down to the different ways that Android Auto and Bluetooth handle media control signals. Why the difference occurs: AUX connection: When you're using an AUX connection, your car's infotainment system may have a more direct connection to Android Auto. The system is likely interpreting the scroll wheel inputs as navigation commands for the Android Auto interface (e.g., scrolling through the menu items). Bluetooth connection: When you're using Bluetooth, your car's infotainment system may treat the steering wheel controls differently, often using them to control media playback directly (e.g., skipping songs) instead of navigating the Android Auto interface. Possible solutions to fix the behavior: Check Android Auto settings: Open the Android Auto app on your phone. Go to Settings and look for any options related to "Media" or "Steering wheel controls." Some Android Auto settings allow you to adjust how media controls behave when connected via Bluetooth. Make sure that Media Controls are set up correctly to allow navigation of the interface with the steering wheel. Car's Infotainment Settings: Depending on your car's brand and model, the infotainment system may have settings for customizing how it interacts with Android Auto or Bluetooth devices. Check if there’s a setting that allows you to configure or reassign the buttons or actions of the steering wheel controls when connected via Bluetooth. This might be labeled as "Button Configuration" or "Steering Wheel Controls." Update your car's infotainment system and Android Auto: Ensure that your car’s infotainment system is up-to-date. Some issues like this can be fixed by updating the software to the latest version. Also, make sure that your Android Auto app is updated to the latest version on your phone, as Google frequently releases updates that improve compatibility with car systems. Re-pair your Bluetooth connection: Sometimes, the issue may stem from a simple pairing conflict. Try un-pairing and re-pairing your phone with the car's Bluetooth system. After reconnecting, check to see if the scroll wheel behavior changes. Use a dedicated media app: Some media apps, like Spotify or TH-cam Music, allow you to control both navigation and media playback more seamlessly across different connection types (Bluetooth vs. AUX). Experiment with a different media app to see if the behavior changes. Check for firmware updates: If your car’s infotainment system supports updates via USB or Wi-Fi, make sure that the firmware is up to date. New updates can sometimes improve compatibility with Android Auto and resolve odd behavior like this. Use a third-party app or workaround: Some third-party apps, such as "CarStream" or "Headunit Reloaded", allow you to have more control over Android Auto's interface on your phone, and they may give you more control over how your car interacts with the system. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it could be a limitation of how your specific car's system interprets Bluetooth media controls compared to AUX input, but most modern cars will have some level of customization to allow you to adjust steering wheel behavior

Hi Adrian, So quick update - the hardware is the old one, but when I installed it - the software is the new one. So I have the same issue as you. When in AUX, I do not hear the person calling me. With the original bluetooth audio enabled it works fine, but it also uses that for audio streaming and that 2-3 second delay when changing songs is there again, which is annoying. Were you able to find a fix to have best of both worlds?
Have you noticed that the temperature it shows when the blowers are activated is completely wrong and is no way related to what is set in the car?? What values is it reading? 😂
Hello. The developer said that the feature is in development but it still doesn't work. Somewhere in the Settings / Car Settings / Air Condition Show menu set to ON or OFF you can disable it.
