Great video as always, Voja. Having to work so hard on organization of the exported files is certainly not “distraction free.” I just bought a Boox Note Air 2 on your recommendation. I’ll use the 30 day money back guarantee to evaluate whether or not the beautiful rM build and writing experience outweigh common sense software. I’m sad that rM isn’t jumping into action every time you release a review. You are doing them a valuable service for free and they are not responding quickly enough.
Lynne, my wife has just told me she would like an e-ink (for writing only) tablet. She is not technical and is occasionally frustrated with technical challenges. She wants to write (i.e. shopping lists, notes, journal, etc) and the ability to also see these files on her iPhone. PDF exported from rM still needs more extensibility. Usually, Handwritten software on PC is based on comments of PDF, and different software can edit each other's handwritten content. The handwritten content in PDF exported from rM will become the background and lose editability.
Can you give some example of pdf software that does it. I assume you are saying some desktop pdf software is doing handwriting to text conversion from handwritten pdf comments

Below rudimentary I see it more as just a simple device that is in my opinion a little more than extra ordinary at the moment ! Speaking from a artist's perspective that has only dealt with flipaclip toon boom and sketchbook pro the remarkable two is good and simplistic and last but not least a great tool to use for digital sketches . I would have to say the only complaint I have is when you draw towards the bottom of the screen there is some jittering action going on

The hilighter took a hit in style this update which you didn't cover. It was possible before to write lines over each other and get darker tones. It was great for drawing. Now, the hilighter is set up so that yellow is always in back, green is always in middle and pink is always in front and overlapping the same color with new strokes does not affect their shading on the screen. I'm not sure which method I like more, but that's a huge difference. Frankly, I wish the hilighter had different sized tips for drawing (for instance, I have midliner markers on my desk, one side is chisel tip and the other side is fine tip). I know artists aren't the target market for remarkable, but it's strange to make such significant changes like this. One would think that the new colors would be have like the old hilighter, but instead it's an all new paradigm. I wouldn't even mind if it just had simple mixing where just overlapping the different colors created new shades on the screen, but nope...they have a specific order and yellow will always be furthest behind everything else no matter when you add it into the drawing.
@@blobidibou9503 And this is the main reason I think the #cultOfUpdates needs to die. This shouldn't be a normalized thing. Buy the device that's finished. Only minor bug fixes should ever be pushed out in an 'update'. It's too easy to lose functionality of modern devices and software through an 'update'. They're not inherently good. A lot of 'updates' for a lot of software is bad, whether a feature is removed or in the case of computer software, becomes too bloated for your current machine to run well, etc. Just because something is 'new' never get it confused that this word is somehow a synonym of 'better'.
I'm glad I saw your post -- I was just about to pull the trigger on a remarkable 2 but half my interest is in drawing and sketching so this definitely makes me pause. Maybe I need to go for the Supernote after all...

My reMarkable 2 now sits gathering dust and I use a $300 tablet with the Nebo app and a USI pen and it does everything and more that I was hoping my un-reMarkable would do
Hi, does everyone, to import a file, have to import, move to trash, go on the Remarkable 2, go to trash, and restaure the file to open it ? If I only import, I don't see it on the Remarkable 2.. Do I have to wait 5 or 10 min ? Because when I move to trash and restaure, it works in a few secs. (Sorry I'm french, hope you will understand what I mean)

Unfortunately no, this is something Remarkable should offer help to their customers, as they will know best what kind of protocols they use etc, and they'll know best how to troubleshoot the issue.
Can you maybe say something about pen accuracy on your device? I got my remarkable 2 on Tuesday and I like it so far. I think I don't even need the subscription as I only intend to use it for notes and don't mind to export them to pdf when I am done. However one thing bothers my a lot. The pen seams to have accuracy issues. Depending on the screen position there is an offset of up to 1-2 mm of the pen tip and the drawn line. Some areas of the screen seam to be totally fine, some areas are effected at one point. The weird thing is that the effected areas move. I tested it by regularily drawing lines with a ruler on a grid template. Comparing them, e.g. from day to day, you clearly see that the affected areas seam to change. I only found one somewhat related post to this issue that stated that it might have something to do with magnetization. And indead I seam to be able to influence the areas by moving the pen in random patterns over the affected areas. However it does not solve it as far as then another area is effected. Because of that behaviour it seams to me that it is a systematic issue not just a issue with my device, thus sending it in for repair might not fix it or make it even worse. I would love to hear some other experiences regarding this.

1. MDO is not an app. It is a PDF file, so yes, it opens up like any other PDF file on the Elipsa. 2. Not really, as it doesn't have Google Play support.

Yes, it is possible, but files not accessed for more than 50 days will automatically be removed from the cloud. I don't know if the cloud then synchronizes and removes them from the device as well, of that, I am not certain. I'll know after 50 days, as I am running that experiment on my RM1 now.

Everyone knows that green is special order dude. I think they lack a systems/design level QA process. Obviously. Feature sets smell like they came from a shotgun.
About the Screen-sharing things… I've tested today and it's not just a local thing. The app on computer has to be connected to the same Account as the reMarkable. My Computer was connected to my rM2 + connect subscription used account. And I've tried to share from my rM1 with 2.11 and connect subscription. And this was not possible… just when I switched the Account in the DesktopApp this was possible. It's possible that it is a kind of entitlement information transfer when starting the screen share.
All these paper tablets are really old technologies which were replaced with modern day tablets decade ago. Even $60 graphic tablets can perform much better functions in color! Don't waste your precious money for these ancient rigs.

I use french curves and rulers and stencils right on the screen for that.

But the turn off is that you cannot color pictures. I would love to buy it for kids but they want to color their drawings. So not a good option

No, it is one device per account, and I simply registered a new account and logged my RM1 into it.

OneDrive integration even does not support Business accounts (exchange). They really did a poor job.
