    Very impressive test drive, I just ordered the 2024 GMC Canyon Denali from my local dealership, i was told it would take a few months until it arrives. Thanks

    Why GM didn't incorporate side steps that retract and extend doesn't make sense. I'm sure it has to do with the cost, however I'd have no problem spending a few hundred more dollars for retractable side steps.

      I was about to write the same comment, they should be included in a 55k truck

    I still think the sidesteps are a way too low.

    All Gmc Canyons have the high and wise stance. The Colorado on the other hand is trim specific.

    Nice truck that I’d keep a pavement princess.

    I'm glad to see the Denali is still capable off-road. I'll be picking one of these up used after it comes off a lease. Let the first 3 years of depreciation hit and pick up a pavement princess that hasn't been beat up off-road but is still plenty capable.

      It not ten inches,, this truck has the same two inch lift, 3 inch wider stance as the Colorado t trail boss wich is 9 and a half!

    Why are you comparing this with a land cruiser?

    • @TexasTruckChannel
      @TexasTruckChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Only because the Land Cruiser has been discussed recently, and we believe that the 4 auto function, with 4h AND 2h is preferred over the LC’s 4 auto / 4h setup.

    Why do you hit the brake when the truck starts to go up the hill? It’s almost like you’re trying to handicap it and make it look worse than it is. Just start at the bottom of the hill and give it gas and drive up it in 2 Wheel Dr. I bet that thing can make it all the way up but since you keep hitting the brakes and handicapping the test, it’s not a true representation of what the truck do on this little hill in 2 Wheel drive. I bet it can make it all the way up. If you would quit hitting the brakes once it starts to move it’s almost like you don’t want it to make it up. Do you wanna only do it in four-wheel-drive?

    • @TexasTruckChannel
      @TexasTruckChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We did not hit the brakes going up the hill. We try to maintain roughly 2-4 mph during this test to test the trucks traction systems and mechanical grip. What you are seeing is the natural reaction that the truck has when we reduce throttle to maintain the low speed. While we have used momentum to bump up the hill in 2wd, this trucks running boards would have scraped with the suspension compression needed to momentum up the hill. Check out our raptor hill tests if you want to see a 2wd example.

      @@TexasTruckChannel Ok, Yes I know you were concerned about the running boards I get that. It felt like Brian was hitting the brakes when going up the hill initially.

    • @TexasTruckChannel
      @TexasTruckChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally get it, it’s just steep enough to look like brakes are being applied.
