Super late, but neck is 59, and bridge is pearly gates plus!!!

I literally just had my new Big Apple Hardtail (sunburst/maple) after trying to find one almost daily for the past 5 years. Very excited! Friday my period correct case arrived because unfortunately even though the guitar is in great shape it came in a basic Gator TSA case with no keys. Dropping another $275 (case, tax, shipping) on the only nice red label case I could find definitely put me in the overpaid a bit category, but beggers can't be choosers and you never see this exact configuration for sale. Happy to have it!

The Fender sounded clearer and had more articulation, but I would account for that based on the 25.5" scale of the Strat vs. the 24.75" Gibson scale. Also; the pickups are not located in exactly the same location on the Strat vs. the Les Paul - even a Les Paul and an SG sound different because of this. I really don't think the wood makes that much of a difference (if any at all).

Russell Wiggins...Great comment and observations. I go back and forth on preferring a Fender or Gibson Scale for playability. Both of these two Guitars play and sound great for what they are...a nice Fender and a Gibson. 👍Regards!

Brother, those were some nasty licks on the bridge of the Gibby. I'm more of a fan of the Les Paul mahogany/maple combo, but you look right at home with that strat.

Thanks Dark....I do like me a good Strat and the addition of the HH configuration makes it very useable....but that LP is a special git. Regards.

My Big Apple had Pearly Gate and '59. Bridge was in the wrong place and would not intonate properly.

Sorry to hear that Robert Beanman . Did you have the Hard Tail or Tremolo version? Do you still have the guitar? Thanks for the Comment. Regards!

@@TNT73BLF It was a hardtail. Sold it and few month later saw it hanging in Guitar Center.

Was the bridge just a few mm to far forward?

Thanks for the comment LeRoy…these two guitars will stay in my collection as long as so can keep them. They cover so many bases while recording, etc., and bring me overall joy every time I pick them up to play. Regards!

When I was around this time; I ended up choosing the lonestar strat.
USA with pearly gates and Texas specials.
      Loved it.
      Sold it.
But now I’m craving a hum hum strat. It’s about time the custom shop does it. I tho it’s gonna be a killa if they do it right.
