- Wrocław is the hometown of famous TH-camr @evazubeck. For her, it's also one of Poland's most beautiful cities. Eva takes us on a tour through the medieval Old Town, up the tower of St. Elizabeth's Church, and to Ostrów Tumski. Wroclaw's famous gnomes also make an appearance! She shows us typical regional dishes and some hidden gems, including a visit to the unmissable, magical Christmas market in the Old Town! What’s your favorite of Eva’s tips for Wrocław?

I love @Evazubeck videos. But I need to say that I like her even more as a presenter for a travel show!
I live in Wrocław from 12 years, this is my husbands’ hometown. And as a Silesian girl from near to Katowice, i’m pround of living in this beautiful city now. Here are many possibilities for adult and children (i have 4), so we are not going to change our place on the world. Welcome in Wrocław again, Eva!
I am from Chicago, my wife was born in the Podlaskie region, my first time visiting Poland was in 2019 and we road tripped to a few cities including Wrocław. Neither of us knew anything about Wrocław before going. Since then, and traveling to many places in the world, it remains among my favorite places and I can’t wait to return one day.
Breslau old name too
Poland is a nice place. Would have to make a trip back there at some point. Thank you for showing Wroclaw. I might add this city to my list.
poland blocked Ukrainian borders. Ukraine doesn't get Western military and humanitarian aid for saving people. poland supports putins invasion to Ukraine.
by blocking Ukraian border, poland support putins` invasion
idk why but i love seeing eva zu beck in her home country.
I love Wrocław 😭 I fell in love with the city I even got a last min tattoo of one of the gnomes on my arm. Truly a very underrated and charming little city ❤️
happy seeing eva back in europe
Love Poland 💪
I don't love poland because poles blocked Ukrainian borders and suffering Ukrainians do not receive humanitarian aid from EU
I travel to Poland every couple of years and always try to road trip across the country. This upcoming summer Wrocław is on our list to visit!
I visited Poland earlier this year and loved all the cities/towns that I visited, but Wrocław was my favourite - so much to see and do, and such a beautiful setting on the water!
I worked on a movie in Wroclaw for 8 weeks several years ago. A beautiful place but even more than that, the people were warm, friendly and endlessly helpful - even when we closed streets and generally made a nuisance of ourselves.
Absolutely love Wroclaw ❤️ 🇵🇱
Just got a ticket for a day tour next weekend and im so excited and can't wait to see the beauty of Wroclaw..im currently living and working here in Krakow
I love Wroclaw! Been quite a few times here.
*Breslau.

@evazubeck nice to see you on DW Travel! My wife and I visited Wroclaw a few weeks ago. Looking at the amount of snow in the video, we were there when you were recording this video. It is really nice to see it again.
I visited for the first time earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Wonderful hidden gem!
My grandmother was born here when it was called Breslau and a region of Germany. I need to visit one day.
I visted Wrocław last year at Christmas and experienced almost all the cools things mentioned here. The Christmas market was very special!
My first visit to Poland was last year and I absolutely fell in love with the country. My favorite city is Gdansk with it's incredibly beautiful riverfront, but unfortunately I did not get a chance to visit Wroclaw and will most definitely put it on my list for next time 😀

Thank you Eva for presenting my hometown. I’m also New Yorker since since '93…, uroniłem dzisiaj łzę.
Been to this city a few times and is such a beautiful place with so much to see and do. What i love about poland is their amazing food so fresh and tasty
Many Poles from Lwow (Lviv) came to live in Wroclaw (Breslau) when the Germans were ordered to leave as a result of the Potsdam treaty.
these Polish were also ordered to leave their hometown. and it is all due to war started by Germany...

Wrocław is on my list to visit in Poland. I can't wait to try the dumplings there 😋 Thanks for the tour!
I used to live in Wrocław.
It’s a lovely city, definitely worth a visit!
Two of my favourite Polish cities ate Gdańsk and Wrocław.
You can catch a Ryanair flight between them (at least in the summer) or get a train ticket for a still decently fast, comfortable train journey (EIP are the best, but IC ones are ok too).
both Citys build by Germans and later stolen from them
I`ve travelled to Wroclaw in 2021 during summer and enjoyed it very much, I can truly recommend it
when two of my favorite creators collide (DW and Eva zu Beck) it has to be good, especially since I have visited Wroclaw several times and endorse that it's a lovely destination.
I really enjoyed getting a virtual tour of this beautiful city!! Vielen Dank!
I spend Christmas holidays in Wrocław like 5 years ago. Bardzo piękne i przyjemne miasto. Greetings from Kyiv!
Like, really?
@@Windwond Like, yep
Wooow, amazing city, oh so beautiful, and such old time traditions are still alive, it’s Amazing ❤
Wrocław is my home town. I love it. Greetings from Down Under.
Eva is amazing, so happy to see her here.
My Greatparents were immigrants from Poland and we still have family in Worclaw area. I’m hoping by to see them next year! Thank you for this wonderful video showing us your hometown and the hometown of my cousins! Can’t wait to see it for myself! When do the Christmas markets start?
Not sure if the date is the same each year but it started on 24th November this year and will last till 7th January. Christmas markets in Poland are beautiful visually but they may be overrated in terms of food which is usually tourist-oriented. Sometimes it's better to visit restaurants located nearby, at the market square, to taste local foods than overpay for it while visiting Christmas stalls. Not saying that all food stalls are of poor quality, just mentioning it so that you can be aware.
We loved our visit to Wroclaw a few years ago. The gnomes are so darling and whimsical. Poland is one of my favorite places to visit in Europe, entirely under rated!
Eva, good to see you ! I’m waiting for your new aventure in Italy! 🩷
I love Poland ❤
All I can say is, I am an Eva fan, so whatever she says or does it has to be good. Good move, Wroclaw. 😎
Absolutely love the Hala Targowa!
Thanks so much for show this piece of Poland, it's very nice!
Glad to see you back on the channel Eva.
I was there in 2019 and absolutely loved the place.
There are also other hidden gems.. but let them stay hidden for the obvious reasons 😅😊
One of more underrated cities in Europe not just Poland!
Poland is a beautiful country but Wrocław is definitely my favorite. Visited the city a few years ago, my only regret was not able to stay longer there.
Wow, I used to work a lot in Wroclaw. I worked for the company who bought Pollena and we had a factory on ul Krakowska. I bloody love Wroclaw.
Thanks for showing this lovely place, Christmas spirit
I visited this beautiful city in 2017. This is one of the best and most interesting cities in Poland.
I visited Wrocław for a few days four years ago and found the city wonderful. Your video brought so many delightful memories. I 'm planning another visit next summer.
Definitely would like to visit Wroclaw. Looks interesting! Thanks for making this video. Look forward to seeing some more travel vids.
@evazubeck your wealth of travel experiences is truly incredible keep exploring and sharing your unique perspective with us. Thanks DW Travel for bringing on Eva.. 👍👏
Never been in Poland, but for sure one nice summer I'll come down from Sweden. There is so much more to discover in "Good old Europe", you don't really need to wander to other continents!
Such a heart-warming voice. Your channel always cheers me up!
What a nice city. I was there recently and loved it. Thank you for this video!
I visited Wroclaw in September/October 2022 and really liked it. My visit was my first solo travel experience.
I thought the architecture was stunning and the city has such a remarkable history.
I visited Krakow on a separate visit six months later and must admit, I prefer the charm and character of Wroclaw despite the significance of Krakow. I understand that the two cities are similar, the smaller nature of Wroclaw suits my idea of a more relaxed city break.
Remarkable and truly beautiful city! 😍😍😍😍
I lived in Wroclaw for almost 3 years as an expat with my family and it was a great experience. We still call the city as 'our second home' even though that we are living in another country right now. It was just easy for us to adapt and enjoy what this small city has to offer. This was mainly due to the city's long history, attractions and it's people. We still have ongoing friendships there and plan to visit the city as soon as possible. Thank you so much for this great video alongside with stunning views of beautiful city of Wroclaw. It surely brought back good memories :)
Eva Zu Beck! There you are!
We were there in the summer…loved it so much!
We are gonna be there in 10 days 😊. We can't wait!! 😍
Great to see the local reporter sneaking in that the lands were "returned to Poland" on the German state broadcaster 😎
I find it a weird choice of words and highly debatable how the harsh break in the city's history after 1945 is soft washed.
@@henningbartels6245 I was surprised to see this on DW of all places but she is technically correct, the lands were returned to Poland from whence originally ruled them before Czechs, Austrians, and Germans subsequently settled and conquered them. On the other hand it wasn’t Poland’s choice or initiative (they were as surprised as anybody else by the border changes arranged on their behalf post-WW2). It’s also worth remembering Breslau was a real Nazi stronghold. During the 1932 elections the Nazis received 44% of the city's vote, their third-highest total in all Germany. In other words maybe the expelled citizens had to pay the price for subsequent events particularly in relation to Poland and Poles.
Today the German heritage is much more acknowledged and respected. Two museums, the main City Museum located in the former royal palace, as well as the Depot History Centre have large collections and permanent displays about the German-era and the fate that befell Germans here at the end of WW2. Many personal items, photos, and stories are collected and brilliantly exhibited.
Eva is Great!!!
Eva, so good to see you back in Europe doing your travel shows again. 👍🇪🇺👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What a Beautiful Magical place😊 Thank You Eva for showing us this❤ God Bless you and Vilk❤
Love seeing Eva Zu Beck and I too have visited Poland and really enjoyed it.
Such an authentic tour of the city, by the one and only, Eva zu Beck. My favourite vlogger.
OK Eva, will see you on your stream. Love this tour.
The ultimate crossover!
Love Wrocław.

Love the city. Love the people
Want to visit again.
Oh, how I love Eva's eyes! The moment I saw them, they brought tears to my own! I already have the DW Travel playlist "Eva zu Beck: The World through her Eyes" queued up and ready to play in my leisure moments.
I was a couple of times in Wrocław. It is gorgeous!
Que hermosa ciudad.... y que alegría ver a Eva en este canal!!!
Went there 4 years ago in January, freezing cold, but beautiful!
Happy for you. You’re back home ( and seem very at home ) and have landed yourself a pretty good gig. We would be quite interested in visiting this Wroclaw. Thanks and Happy Holidays. 🇨🇦
Happy Holidays!
I'm part Polish. Love the video.
Good job Eva!
It's a beautiful city.
Beautifully done, the views the people the culture and seeing you smile again was the best episode, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years from the US
Happy New Year!
I have been a long time subscriber to Eva zu Beck's TH-cam channel, and I must say it is a nice change of pace having her back on this channel doing segments where she explores various cultures again. Her TH-cam channel used to do this often, but as of late, it has deviated from that theme to focus more on her personal journey and all the trials and joys she experiences living out of her vehicle. While I find that content interesting, it tends to be repetitive and, to be quite frank, a bit self-indulgent. It's nice to see her focus her talents on highlighting the splendor of humanity - with its vast array of histories and customs. I hope her channel also resumes its original content of bringing awareness of other regions around the world, and the unique people who occupy those regions.
I agree. Love Eva as she is easy on the eyes and ears... Good job DW
My fear is that as Eva seems like she is more interested in settling down and buying a home these days, we will be less likely to see videos of her traveling the world.
@@ronbeaubien Setting down roots doesn't mean that Eva is giving up on what she does. One can own a home and still travel the world. Some of the best travel personalities own homes. Well before the Internet age, one of the best known travel hosts was Rick Steve. He had a family and a home, despite traveling abroad for much of the year. Eva's purchase of a house makes sense because, living out of a cramped vehicle, while exciting for a while, can get quite tiring. Having a comfortable place to settle down, between stints of travel, is something that any sensible person would do.
@@ronbeaubien Being disappointed in the prices in the states, I fear she will be disappointed with prices anywhere. Her only income is TH-cam, Patreon and various acting jobs for the BBC and such. Unless she has 3-400K a bank will want to see a two year work pay slips to give her a loan..But she has been running for a long time now. Maybe she has gotten it out of her system and wants to settle down and who knows, quite TH-cam and others in the future.
As eva has sayed she is not settling she is finding a base for a place to come home too but she will always be traveling after all it is Eva's nature to do so it's a passion like her grandfather was a world traveler that isn't something she would give up lightly and she won't be getting any average home base it will be somewhere off grid somewhere wild!
Beautiful city of Breslau
Eva is a cutie. It's such a nice surprise to see her on DW Travel, being a subscriber of both this channel and hers.
She sold out to German DW ?
Glad to see again Eva on this channel, just feel somebody missing.. Vlix 😁 Anyway, glad to follow you around your hometown, such a great beautiful historical city 👍😊
Eva, I'm glad to find your video.
Nice work Eva!
My first solo trip was to Wroclaw, really cool place and so safe!
Nice to see Eva, again. She's such a charmer. I'll probably never visit Wroclaw. Hell..., I don't think I'll ever be able to pronounce it.
I wonder if DW will let Eva do an updated video about Aleppo and Syria ? Those were so beautiful.
You are also Poland's Gem, Eva. Thanks for being there, in our time. Arohanui............NZ...........
Wrocław on summer is stunning and there is a lot to do, I especially love all activities on the river. Winter brings Christmas Market which is the biggest and most beautiful one in the country. I really had an impression that Wroclaw has more to offer in terms of diversity than any other polish City (including Kraków).
Nice video! I spent a couple days in Wrocław 20 years ago. I don’t remember seeing those gnome statues at all! I feel like I really missed out.
I visited Poland for the first time a few weeks ago! We went to Szczecin - it was such a lovely place 😊
I'll be in Wroclaw in 14 days!
Eva on DW, that's so nice to see!
I just put Wroclaw on my travel list
I ran into a Polish lady yesterday at the Louvre art museum who told me she was from Wrocław. This place seems so magical like Gdańsk. I would love to come here when the Christmas market is up to get the full experience 💫
I visited Wroclaw in 1987…one of my favourite memorie in my life
Glad to see Eva back with DW! Eva tells such beautiful stories, I hope she makes it back to Syria soon!
Nice to see Eva Zu Beck back at her hometown!
Ahhhh, Eva, I always love seeing you, I hope you are doing well! 🙏
Mushrooms from forests in Poland sounds so delish !! Locally produced veggies/ fruits are the best !! Especially organic ones !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

I have not been there but if its a city that Eva loves, then I must visit!!!
I've been to the city about four times and I love it. Every time I go I discover something new. Top secret: visit the zoo and book dinner at the aquarium. 🤭
