  • Shadow Indigenous Australians minister Jacinta Nampijinpa Price says “enough with the carry-on” and the Voice to Parliament Yes campaign needs to “move forward”.
    “They need to accept the result and move forward,” Ms Price said.
    “The rest of Australia wants to look forward, those marginalised Indigenous Australians want results and want action and want that now.”

      While I have a lot of respect for Jacinta I don't think she would make a good PM!
      I have only ever heard her talk about Indidgineous affairs and little else - but - Australia has a lot of other issues that need attention by a a PM with a grasp of all things concerning Australians - I.E. finance, immigration, defence, foreign trade, housing, etc.
      I genuinely wish her the best and I hope she has a great future - but as far as being PM goes - No thanks!

      The Australian Constitution clearly states trade and movement between the States is to be absolutely free. The High Court has clearly established NO it isn't.

    I think one of the big things that tipped me, apart from the 'we'll tell you the details when you vote yes' and other fun things like that, was being told I would be racist if I voted No for no other reason than choosing to want and being denied more information about what the Voice would do, be, act on etc.
    That's just one.There are multiple other reasons.

    It failed because it created division amongst australians. I could not express my indifference to the voice in my own workplace (a large govt department) because management supported the yes vote and we were bombarded with the voice propaganda. It made me wake up to the woke movement crepe happening in Australia, I am for a united australia where we are all treated equal. Australians spoke with their votes and still albanese won’t listen.

    I've worked and lived with indigenous people for many years, visiting places like Arnhem Land, Coen, Goondiwindi, and so on, and none of the elders in any of those places have ever discussed what these city activists are talking about. They seek peace and harmony with everyone. They do not want to divide the people. These activists are a joke, and their only goal is to separate people based on race. In my opinion, they are racists, and Australia does not need apartheid in this country.

    The referendum over the voice was basically an election, when the labor won the last election people accepted it as the majority prevailed. As the voice referendum was defeated by an overwhelming majority it should be accepted as was the federal election.
