Used to speak to Hendrie when I worked in taxi trade, he used to always be out in Sutton Coldfield and even at 3am he was always polite and classy (unlike most customers that time if the morning!)
Listened to the pod on the way to work and now watching the TH-cam video. Love this podcast so much and Lee was awesome. So grateful to him for talking about his struggles. I really needed that today. ❤
I played in the same Youth team as Lee at Villa, and his ability was scary. It was basically, 'give Henders the ball and let's just step back and watch him!'. I doubt he'd remember me, but I don't think there were too many other gangly 6'2" schoolboys at Villa who were from Bournemouth!! Full credit to him, we were far from mates at Villa, but he's a brilliant pundit and the way he speaks openly about some of his challenges is to be admired.
I had no idea about Hendrie's struggles. And i've literally just watched the Deli Alli interview.... Glad to see players coming out and encouraging others to get help.
I was a young teenager when Hendrie had his peak years, and i can say he was a top player. He should have definitely gone on to have a career trajectory similar to Lampard, Gerrad, Ferdinand etc in the sense that he would get a big move and win major honours. It was always a mystery how his career never panned out how i thought.
My team used to play Elton John- Sacrifice as the pre match tune, well, certainly on the playlist. Only as it used to be a sacrifice on the eyes as we used to be shite.
Blackwell was probably the worst manager in Luton’s history - hated the man. Interesting to hear Lee talk about him and say exactly what he thought of him.
I've always though jack grealish is like hendrie from the 90s... and I think he was being honest.. and I think jack would look to hendries career as what happens when you let the playboylife beat the football life
used to see Hendrie a lot round Solihull and nearby villages, absolute bell end , very much do you know who i am? with wankers hanging on, good to see he has changded
Seen a few saying Lee was a good man he was a complete prick and he would tell you the same big shot spoke down to anyone not earning his money treated people like shite but seen him 2 years ago and completely different man
As someone who’s struggled at times too, Hendrie is such a great guy who has come back from such low point in his life.

I won tickets to the pub quiz at Waterloo and he stood at the bar and spoke to a couple of us after for about 20mins. Top bloke
Then you some up we know you've not left you're mother's attic
I’ve always heard good things about him , seems like a solid bloke
Lee Hendrie and Dele Alli speaking up, hats off to them to talk about personal stuff and hopefully encourage more to, top podcast as always 🙌
Haha the way crouchy zoned out when they spoke about bbqing lol

So were you a schoolboy or an apprentice?
@@LondonGoldie7 I’d hope so, but if he didn’t remember me all good!

I watched Lee Hendrie in a vets game a few weeks back, he was fantastic, could not read his passing and he had real quality even at this age
"the David Beckham of Birmingham" 😂🤣🤣👏🏻

Speaking of lost lager, has anyone heard from Statman Dave or was his fantasy league forfeit that he never appears on the pod again?
So much better he's not on it any more
@@johnpaulkillileabut disrespectful to not even acknowledge him gone now
I was watching this when working and not fully paying attention and suddenly Stark is wrapping his head with a neck pillow
Henders doesn’t get enough credit as a footballer. Played with such passion at the villa and scored some worldies too! True legend
I sat next to Gareth Barry in the barbers in Holmes Chapel before when he used to play for city, top bloke
Top man, so honest. Good pod 👌
Love Lee's honesty...great listen
My team used to play Elton John- Sacrifice as the pre match tune, well, certainly on the playlist. Only as it used to be a sacrifice on the eyes as we used to be shite.
Lee Comes across as a real Topman
Great episode
Great guests recently boys but if we don’t get the Notorious S.I.D back we’ll riot
Top bloke is Lee
Hope Jack Grealish can learn from this mans mistakes and regrets. Top man for speaking up ❤️
Fantastic, enjoyed 😂
That jacket is rascal Chris.
Rascal ? Who d fuck are you ? Jack grealish’s apprentice ?
Scored one of the goals of the Premier League. On his game, he was the bits
Love that Ian Taylor got a mention, was class when he played for us (Port Vale).
UTV
Used to see crouchy at holiday inn stoke all the time 😂,
I remember Lee donning a Basford United shirt and scoring on his debut! Up the Ambers!
That interview tip is class haha, not sure I’ll be using the Suga Babes but would love to hear what anyone here has used before
lee is a top man need him and the SID on a pod
Wormbley at crouchfest🤣
great player at Stoke
These podcasts are way too short - so many good stories not getting told!
Chris turning up in his mums coat😁
Hey, how could i get in contact you with, i have a business idea that can work well for both of us!
Welcome to the official brewdog podcast.
Blackwell was probably the worst manager in Luton’s history - hated the man. Interesting to hear Lee talk about him and say exactly what he thought of him.
I've listened to a lot of podcasts and I honestly can't recall any player having anything positive to say about him..he sounds like a right tool ..
So Statman Dave no longer on the show?
Ealings not bad but yes, its not London exactly. Been to all those places PC mentioned back in the day.
6:13 😂
Statman gone for good then?
Hopefully he’s pointless, stats ain’t needed on a podcast irrelevant
Hopefully
"its pretty good 😏"
Did crouch n lee ever end up in the ceol castle
Martial arts on me😂😂😂
If you'd asked me to name the breed of Ron Atkinson's dogs it would have taken me a while to get down to Shih tzus
BIg Ron used to walk his dogs past my flat most mornings, I used to shout 'Big Fat Ron' out the window at him lol
SUMMER TRANSFER PLEASE BOYS, THE NOTORIOUS S.I.D AS WEEK IN WEEK OUT NEW RIGHT WINGER STATMAN OUT SAVE HIM FOR ANALYSIS EPISODES OR SOMETHING DORKY.
If you’ve listened to the undr the cosh podcast. Blackwell isn’t a very liked man in football 😂
Up the Villa. Getting your money's worth out that coat Chris.
Crouchy turned right to the belair rather than the range
If we are being picky, belair is on the left and the range on the right
@@LorraineNewstead😂 so true, knocked down now if being super picky
Not if you are resident at the belfry @LorraineNewstead you would be coming the other way so think on 🤔
How did chris miss the whole point of the callum wilson message 🤦
Top bloke Lee……✌️
5 minutes in and still talking about Brewdog?

No addressing where statman Dave is 🤔
Reckon he's just busy
Big man on the left means well but interrupts all the good stories.
it kurs
robbie willianms
Where’s stat man gone I miss him
Probably getting himself ready for another average fantasy football season ;)
I like the notorious more
He would’ve ruined this ep
Notorious is clear , stat man brings nothing . Lovely bloke but he doesn’t have much crack
Where’s the stat man????
ris
Statman been bailed off then? Hope not.
kokakola
You need to get pochettino on and call him parchettino
Another absolute corker. When’s there gonna be an actual tv programme in this kinda format?
