- The boys are back in town! After feasting themselves on some lovely and dare we say massive, Christmas puddings - Crouchy, Chris and Sids are back in the driving seats talking all things football.
On today’s episode, the boys are discussing all thing club ownership, something which pipped their interest after sitting down with the one and only Sir Elton John.
We look at the extent to which owners are involved in the day to day running of the club (both on and off the field) the tricks of the trade that they use to get some of the bigger personalities to come and sign for the club (shout out bridgey) and if owners can ever lose the dressing room…

Totally spot on about sports here in America. The system we have only benefits the owners. Keep promotion/relegation - it's a much better way. Teams here fucking lose on purpose, it's dumb as hell.

Think gary neville said about vetting for club owners, that should be enforced.
Thankfully we have a new owner and fans have got behind them but i think we are a long way off being stable again

My team (DRFC) got relegated from the league. ( there's was a doc made)The owner tried to have the main stand burnt down to claim the insurance. John Ryan fan & self made millionaire (famously the man behind mellinda messengers "frontage ") first game at Dover no kit. Eventually took us to a new stadium Wembley the millennium the championship
Now under different ownership who treat the club like an albatross round their necks we're back in the doldrums

Crouchy, transfers are the same as a trade for American sports basically. They have a contract still but another team wants them. As an American i stopped following and caring about our sports and really only follow European football and appreciate the long lasting culture and way to think about it.
Boys love the show, but it's time to invest in some wireless microphones! x

In theory it would be great if every club was run for the benefit of the football club & the supporters but the reality is that more or less every supporter expects their club to buy new players in every transfer window regardless of how much they’re in debt or how much they have already spent.
Every club strives to improve, regardless of how well they are performing or what their finances are like, as a result you end up with clubs spending money that they simply don’t have & that then ends up with clubs being in the shit!
I was hoping that the affects of the pandemic on football would have caused clubs/the football authorities to reset everything! Transfer fees, player wages & agents fees are unsustainable & as a result it will only see more clubs going to the wall.
so is any sport where huge transactions are involved ie boxing

Seatbelt before ignition is standard, who wouldn't do that? The idea of doing it the other way around is bonkers. Seatbelt on then begin driving, why would you begin the driving sequence then stop to buckle up? Bizarre.
