I do this for my kids however I keep some of the water, add scrambled egg crushed red pepper, butter, garlic or garlic powder. Especially when they sick its gets them right my best advice is alwaaaays add more garlic and butter it helps with herbal lemon. They aren't sick no more than a day or two three max. Oh and not alot of noodles it's more broths when they sick. I just recently made it when onions before the video they love it with Nashville hot sauce over the hills madly in love.
This dish now has a number of variants, and is even prepared as a gourmet offering in niche restaurants. As best I can discern though, I invented it over 40 years ago, out of desperation really, while dirt poor and in college. My original also used the brick of ramen with chicken seasoning. After the noodles were done, I stirred in one and a half slices of American cheese and an egg. The residual heat is enough to cook the egg. Over time, too, I learned that Maruchan's "creamy" chicken variety makes for the best results.
Don't fix Ramen very often , but im definitely going to try this ! I'll probably double the recipe !! Takes Ramen to the next level . Thanks, Harshita !
Mix a package of cooked Ramen noodles with Cream of Chicken or Mushroom soup, then add a can of peas. Also great if canned chunk chicken or Albacore Tuna added. Makes a great cheap dinner for 2-4 people.
I am 10 yrs old and I know how to cook pretty well. I tried this before, but it didn't go well, but it looks so appetizing, I tried it again and it was Delicious!
i made this (minus the hot sauce and spinach) visually it doesnt look appetizing but it's actually quite tasty! for those worried about too much sodium you can use half the package when you boil the noodles and they will keep some of the flavor, then only use the remaining half for the seasoning!

OMG THIS WAS AMAZING! I am 13 years old and i love cooking but i never do because its so hard and not good. Today i tried making this at home by my-self (No parents help) and pulled it off with ease and AMAZING taste! I highly recommend adding Green peppers, carrots, and some ketchup instead of all siratcha in case u dont like it super spicy and also try adding some of the sweet thick soy sauce and mix it up in the plate before serving.
My wife makes me this when I’m not feeling well . She’ll leave a little more broth in it and if there’s no spinach scallion are so good ! But I’d say on the cheap it’s a good meal
I love how everyone has their Ramen way. I make the noodles and when they're almost done I drain a good amount of water and crack an egg right into it. After 2 minutes I drain most of the rest of the water leaving only a little. I add the seasoning packet, a few pads of butter and a buncha hot sauce (I use Texas Pete's for this). It is amazing amd I eat it at least once a week.
this recipe is *delicious* I didn’t have any soy sauce so I used teriyaki sauce instead, and instead of spinach (since I didn’t know where it was) I added a fried egg on top and it is so good, I definitely recommend!!
After adding spinach, mozzarella cheese and onions... you might as well throw some slices of sirloin steak in there too. I thought it was just supposed to be an egg and Ramen noodles.
Just tried it. Absolutely delicious! I’m going to go finish! Ok, so this is how I made it Keep in mind I couldn’t go to the store, so I made do. Onions, they are really yummy so you may want to put extra. I didn’t have fresh garlic, so I put seasoning. However, to make up from the dry seasoning I put some squeeze ginger in it, of course it doesn’t call for ginger but it’s good if you add that. I also didn’t really have sriracha, or really wanted if I did have it, I have a low spice tolerance. So I put orange sauce, like for orange chicken in there. Gives a little sweet, gives a little spice. Perfect. I recommend if you can’t take spice like me or just don’t have sriracha. I also didn’t have fresh spinach leaves, or really spinach at all. I substituted it for dried parsley flakes. I also used sea salt instead of regular salt, just because I couldn’t be bothered to get regular. I also used a little bit of onion seasoning, just a tad. I added a little more butter than I was supposed to, and I recommend if you’re younger when you’re making this to not add any more butter than you’re supposed to, because it started popping a bit. Everything else was just like they said to. Update: You may want to not add any extra salt, the flavor packet and the soy sauce is enough. In conclusion, absolutely delicious. I will be making it again.
interesting - I do something really similar for lunch regularly with just the siracha and egg, but that looks darn good with the onion and garlic as well. Bet peppers would be nice as well...
This reminds me of my college days. I used to eat a lot of this kind of food back then 😢. Good old days. 300$ Michelin starred food can’t even compare to that
I don’t even have to wait until I make this for tomorrow’s lunch to know this is a great recipe. The ingredients are just right. I would be willing to bet that you could substitute the water for chicken broth and leave out the actual ramen seasoning and this would be just as god or better. I’ll try it your way first though, thank you.
I make a similar dish using granulated onion and garlic powders. Boil water and pour over noodles and let sit for 5 min, drain and then quick fry with egg.
Yeah your right but some moms are dont make food in home but. You right like my mom always says the only thing matters that you have a family and a mom that cooks

I have the advantage of a history of low sodium. Ramen for breakfast raises it to normal levels.
This is good. But a good tip would be to keep some pasta water and use that instead. The starch in the water will thicken and make a great sauce.
