- Went out this Sunday afternoon with my son Landen, got him used to using life scope, put a whole bunch of Crappie in the box! Fishing Lake Ray Roberts!!

That's my home lake and you're right, it's hard to fish. So much water coming in and going out. I have watched your videos for awhile now and I enjoy them. I have my own boat but I've been on a couple of guided trips also. If you fish the timber with a pink jig head tipped with a live minnow you will catch twice as many. I don't know why but the crappie on that lake love live bait. Good luck and if you ever want a tour I'm game. I have my own boat and can show you some really good timber.

Good on you buddy. Those will be memories for a lifetime. Sorry you have to deal with the COPA crap on the web, but glad you aren't afraid of it. While I agree that we have to protect kids, there has to be some common sense that prevails and stop the overreach and over reaction of people just being people in a healthy environment. Kids ARE the future of our sport of fishing. Love your channel and love what you're doing. Bless you for that.
Yup, ray rob has some fine crappies.... I fished out of pecan creek launch under the 3002 bridge on Saturday Caught a couple 2 or 3 crappie and a nice cat. Next purchase is a fish finder for my Topwater PDL to find those brush piles and concentrations of fish

Do you prefer fishing ray Roberts or Lewisville for crappie? I've come across your videos recently and it's cool seeing someone catching fish in my home waters. I'm smack dab in the middle of the two lakes. Gonna really focus on learning to catch crappie and catfish, but not sure which lake would be better?
Both are great, Lewisville is harder, especially if the spillways are open. Also way too much pleasure boat traffic. Ray Bob is big and you have to learn the lake. You can’t just fish, they aren’t just everywhere.
@@BarFlyFishingTexas I usually used to put in at Buck Creek with my kayak, so I didn't travel too far from the ramp. I recently got a boat with better electronics so I'll have to figure it out I guess. I do like having less people on the lake for both safety and comfort on the water, but I usually do my fishing on weekdays to avoid crowds. Thanks!

Main reason I subscribed cause you were bank fishing, which btw helped me a lot this winter/spring. Now that you have a boat I feel like it's just another guy posting videos fishing. Your bank videos gave great info. I love your other videos but lately I haven't been interested. I will continue to support you but I just wanted to give you some feedback. Maybe throw in some bank spots and give more advice on where you are catching fish. Much love
Everything depends on season, right now, Crappie are sitting in 20 foot of water. Unless you have a boat dock or buddies with one you can’t fish for Croppie from the bank hardly, also when I make a video about cat fishing nobody watches it, I get 200 views. When I have other videos they get up to 40,000. Sand bass or not in the creeks anymore, they are out in the middle of the lake. The only thing you’re going to bank fish for real he is catfish right now, and like I said those videos don’t get any traction. Trust me I love to bank fish and a kayak fish. The boat is just so I can run my Livescope. That boat is an 88 model. It’s 32 years old, someone like you could buy one of those boats for 1000 bucks and do some work at home and be on the water… That was the intention. Show someone they don’t have to have a lot of money to be a boater. I’ll be doing all kinds of videos just stick with me.

Awesome job man! Love the channel! I’ve got a kayak but I want to take my son out as well so I’m getting a jon boat soon to get him out on the water. Ray Roberts is too far for us so we will be fishing Hubbard primarily.
