It's amazing what you can do inside the box these days. On sale right now, buy all 3 for $99 right now... Still don't know if I'm going to buy, it's tempting. Very happy with tonex. Great video and new subscriber ✌
I don't think you can turn the amp off but you could always run your amp through the sound city plugin! The room reverb sounds very similar to the sound city plugin anyway and they have some killer cab emulations in the sound city plugin as well. Just use the re-mic mode. Also, there is no reason you couldn't gig with these plugins! You just need to route things properly or use Waves SuperRack Performer or something like that. You could also just plug your guitar into an interface, go into the amps, then out from the interface into the PA. Done!
I’m only interested by the lion. It has something nice, a real compression I like. Made some nice NAM and ToneX captures of the demo and now I’ll wait to get a nice promo
it sounds great and your playing is really nice, but it seems like the input signal is coming in too hot... I have these pedals and they usually doesn't sound this gainy...
I bet they designed this plugin using a les paul standard at unity gain on the UAD interface, so idk, I do kind of agree with some of the anomalies of the harshness and other things mentioned
I think it sounds alright, something is sticking out to me though and idk what it is, can’t put my finger on it. But the real test would be creating a song and seeing how it sounds all together.
UA does promotions so often, you can expect possibility to buy one of those for like 50e in near future. now, are you using native or unison versions? what is your sample rate and buffer size there? how latency feels? one last question - which was your favourite?
Yeah these are all native from my understanding so it’s your daws latency. I had it set as low as I could. It’s definitely the downside of plugins like this. As your project builds it can easily build a build of latency
The reason why you’re getting the scratchy noisey high end on the amp sims is computer interference/noise through the pickups…sick back a few feet or turn away. Also…totally depends what gain you have on your interface and how you adjust the input level on the plug.
Haha I agree with you was about to say I owned the Ruby, I didn't know you had the Lion, but Ruby plugin form does sound better to my ears, are you running your interface at 48 khz?
I bet these are accurate but they're not blowing me away. They may be "accurate," but they don't sound as good to me out of the bo as some other stuff. I think the Neural DSP stuff sounds great and I'd like to try Helix Native. For now, I'm using Nembrini's Voice DC30 for Vox tones. It needs to be paired with other effects but it gets the job done. I'm also fooling around with Neural Amp Modeler. There's a Tone King Imperial capture that's pretty great.

I use the softube plugins the way you explained. I turn off the amp and run my amps into the speaker emualtions with post effects. it works great.
🤘
I've played one gig through UA Apollo Twin using their 1959 SLP plugin. Stereo into console from the unit's line outs. It sounded great.
I’ve wondered about that. I don’t have an Apollo but that seems like an awesome feature
@@JordanSteele It is a bit of a hassle because I had my laptop and all but it worked. 🙂
Yeah for sure. That’s still very cool and interesting rig🤘
They currently have a bundle deal where you can bundle 2 plugins and get them for I think $79 total. (11/12/2024)

Maybe the ghost note trick that add a circuitry background noise but it’s not the most enjoyable part

Was about to say the same thing, the signal seems to be very close to clipping if not actually clipping.
Stellar playing. Dream required a Strat 😉
Thank you! Yeah that would be nice!
I think it sounds alright, something is sticking out to me though and idk what it is, can’t put my finger on it. But the real test would be creating a song and seeing how it sounds all together.
Absolutely! I just composed a quick track using the Lion and dream on some rhythm parts. After a little mixing it sounds great!
really nice tutorial! love this

Looks like the input is cranked. If you lowered the input, it might help with presets browsing.

Is it a standalone app/version or can you only use it with a DAW? Sounds great. Thanks.
No standalone. Uad provides a free daw
Spark is now 99 . I hope they would keep it so till Black Friday so we could snag the deal!
Great tones !
Any word if they'll turn the Enigmatic and the Anti 1992 into plugins?
I would guess yes in the future but no clue on what the timeline of that would be
@@JordanSteele Thanks for replying and keep up the excellent content.
@@jeffhirshberg5171thanks dude!
I imagine they will. I've renewed my UA Spark subscription on the basis of these amps and the SSL stuff. I have the sub at £9.99 UK.
What interface do you use and your buffer settings?
I use the Audient id44 and the lowest buffer in my daw which is 32

Does the on/off toggle bottom left just turn off the amp or bypass the whole plugin?
I believe it turns the whole plugin off. I’m not totally sure I haven’t tried it but usually universal audio plugins will just bypass the whole plugin
What is your buffer setting for dealing with latency??
clicked the 200% size in the app now I cant get it back, Do you know how ? im using reaper
Not bad. Sounds a little raspy and hairy. Still prefer TONEX.
Waiting for enigmatic
