RPCS3 becoming a low end PC supporting emulator would be a dream come true, that can allow tons of experimentation with all kinds of hardware to see how much limits can be pushed.
When I heard RPCS3 and big performance I knew it was HUGE, really huge. Also "extremely weak hardware"? I wonder how weak would they go for This is by far the biggest update so far, gracias Mr Sujano!
Yeah, I was quite upset that SEGA partnered with them for Shadow Generations. Most because it acts as a false sign of quality because SEGA is a big entity that people generally like.
It keeps creating a forced scarcity, which Im sick of seeing.. Instead of just giving the game's proper physical versions, one that any store can sell.... Nope, LRG keeps hogging all the physical version rights for themselves, which when sold encourages scalpers to jack up the prices. Now LRG can't even tell the truth by putting the right version on the disc? That's just scummy. No excuses for that.
Even if whoever wants to buy Ubisoft, I'm still not sure if that would help or not, I mean even if Tencent buy all the shares that doesn't mean that we will see a new Rayman or Splinter Cell or any other old Ubisoft IP inmediately. To be honest it would be better if Ubisoft just sell or at least rent their IPs to other companies if they want to keep afloat, I'm pretty sure that the company Microids (another French company) would handle very well a Rayman game.
I got GT6 to the last update, 1.22, and it works well, there are graphical glitches but it is definitely playable with the custom tweaks RPCS3 wiki recommends. It has been unplayable for the longest time unless you are playing GT6 on v1.0 or 1.05. Thank you RPCS3!!!
hopefully with the two videos the gran turismo games on the ps3 might just be finally playable with no hassle with a big compatibility list update with it as well

Funny I read it the same way and immediately clicked, thinking there's no way LGR is embroiled in any controversy. Glad I was right, he's a pretty swell dude.
I really like the idea of a company like limited run games. It’s so unfortunate that the execution has such a focus on cutting corners at the expense of consumers and devs. I think that the issue with companies like limited run games is that it’s too easy to run an anti consumer company in the us. The incentive structures in the us are all fucked up
Key words about Ubisoft: "in the best interests of our shareholders". Going by these words, I'm not expecting any situation that benefits their customers (neither current ones nor potential ones), at least not in the near future.
RPCS3 needs to revamp its resolution scaling. There's quite a number of games that don't actually scale beyond 720p despite setting the desired resolution.
Taking the 12k and dividing it up to 40 hours work per week, would being it to roughly $25 an hour. For an accountant in my state, thats about the average cost, considering they'll also have to be writing up contracts. ($150 to $500 an hour for a lawyer specializing in contracts) That is definitely a bit low....
I kind of hope the Ubisoft brand recovers in some way. They've been around a long time, Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Rayman, Just Dance, Watch Dogs, etc. When we look at long-running game series, it's dominated by Japan; Nintendo, Capcom, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Atlus, Konami, etc.
I hope rpcs3 team manages to make a mobile version, if they can do "extremely weak device" if they manage to perfectly port on android I would be really happy
I think Steam is essentially moving towards the same goal in as Xbox (albeit from a different direction), i.e., as a game platform that can run on multiple hardware.
Not that I am a fan of Ubisoft (or EA or Activision, or any scummy Denuvo supporting companies pumping out the same games over and over), but it really does suck to see this much consolidation in this industry. There are going to be a handful of companies in charge of game development (besides smaller indie developers) and if you think gaming hasn't gotten bad recently just wait until there are a handful of boards/shareholders in charge of all future game decisions. It's really going to suck.
As someone who had some interactions with LRG when Josh & Douglas would post on CAG from time to time(back in the day), the current issues are of no surprise. They would always talk about how they were just like everyone else and collected games and wanted to do the best for the community. I was always of the mindset to stop blowing smoke and just run your company as a business as that is what it became rather quickly. As you can NEVER serve two masters, and pretty early on you realized they were more about making money, than keeping fans happy, which was fine, but don't try to play both sides of the fence. Douglas left at some point, so did Josh's questionable choices and ego get in the way? Who knows, but believing Josh on anything at this point, you need your head examined.
