She told me “when I grow up I want to marry Sarah (her best friend from daycare)” I said “ok” She looked pensive for a moment, then said with a defeated tone “Oh I forgot, two women can’t be married” I told her that in fact they could (we are from Denmark) it was just not as common as women and men being married, so she probably hadn’t noticed. She mulled this over for a bit then say “Oh yeah, it’s two men that can’t be married” I repeated my previous answer and it made her look a bit troubled, frowning and deep in thought for a couple of minutes. Then as we were walking to our table, she suddenly smiled big and said with a sense of relieve, as if the world suddenly made sense to her again “ah yes, that’s right, they just need to be castrated” For a moment I was in utter shock, who had taught my sweet innocent child something so hateful and outrageous? Then I remembered, I did! About 3 months prior we got a male Guinea pig, after a few days I felt really bad about him being alone so I got a female and had the male neutered. I remember telling her that it was better with a female because if we had two males the would fight all the time and would both need to be castrated in order to live together. I was just thinking of the advantage of only needing surgery on one rather than two animals, but my daughter obviously got something entirely else from my explanation 😂 We have to be careful of what we say to kids and how we say it, because they may interpretate it very differently, from what we intended 😅 I can just imagine her telling people “my mom says, that if two men wants to get married, they should be castrated” Geez.. glad we had the talk about her future marriage that day!

My 1st best friend was the african american kid next door. We knew each other since we were born. This is 60 years ago. When we moved way when was 7. I never got to see him again. My 1st best friend was the african american kid next door. We knew each other since we were born. This is 60 years ago. When we moved way when was 7. I never got to see him again. I was truly heart broken . I still think about him and wish I could reunite with him. I hope he is doing well. Great video and story showing that we are capable of profound love for everyone no matter what race, religion or orientation.

Those kids are wonderful, this is what shows us children sees no color. They can get along with one another, bc they are not shown difference, all they know is they are both small, they love to play with each other, and they love one another. If all children were taught the way these two children are taught that alone would make America great again!!
