Conservative leadership candidates' English-language debate - May 11, 2022

Candidates vying to succeed Erin O'Toole as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada square off in the first of two official leadership debates of the campaign organized by the party. Scott Aitchison, Roman Baber, Patrick Brown, Jean Charest, Leslyn Lewis, and Pierre Poilievre take part in the debate being held in Edmonton. Former political journalist Tom Clark serves as moderator of the English-language debate. The French-language debate will be held on May 25. The party will announce its new leader on September 10.
