I suffered from sciatica for close to a year. You may already be doing this, but what helped me was daily cobra stretches. I have not had sciatica for almost 6 years since then. I also switched up my office chair.
Great to hear you say the pain is near unnoticeable in the mornings. That’s a great sign. A 640 mile is fantastic progress. It’ll get easier. Patience will win in the end. Cole and Evan will do great at CIM. Glad you had them cut back on the uphill. No gains to make this close to race day.
Thanks a ton! Some days are better than others. Running downhill is really hard on the back. And yes, I'll stay patient. We will do our very best at cim! Thank you!
I firmly believe that Evan gonna break the world record by running a fastest marathon by 12 years old age group. ALL THE HARDWORK AND DISCIPLINE WILL BE PAID OFF 👊👊👊👊
Yay! I have the same issues in deciding what shoes to wear for the marathon and I'm a heck of a lot slower than Evan. She's got this! BTW, good advice on the porta potties. CIM has SO many. I did the same thing you suggested last year. Excited to see you all. Let's gooooo!
Great to see you back on your feet and running more freely again MK! All the best to Cole and Evan this weekend. Really looking forward to seeing some records fall! 💪
Wishing all the best for Cole, Evan and Aya on race day. Great to see you back out running MK. Consistent strength training seems to be key to keeping my sciatica at bay.
@@allheartrc I do banded crab walks, banded squats, single leg squats to bench, single leg deadlifts with kettlebell, single leg hip thrusts (glute bridge) with weight, banded clams and fire hydrants. Basically lots of stuff to improve glute med strength. My sciatica doesn’t appear to be related to any disc problem. I have stopped rolling piriformis on ball or foam roller and have reduced stretching as both seemed to aggravate it.
It took me so long to choose my race day shoes. There are too many great options these days that we’re all spoiled for choice. Evan would dominate even in crocs!
