3 things: 1. I got tired just listening to your year recap. What. A. Year. 2. That walk to the Tracksmith party was really long. 3. Behind the scenes WearTesters tour was incredible. Thanks for doing that!
I was out of breath just listening to all the races you've run this year! It's been a remarkable journey from your early days on TH-cam. Congrats on all your success.
It's a testament to your vision for community that the KRC was created, built-up and nearly 3-years in, many continue to tune-in day after day! Thank you for being that constant presence in times of crisis (pandemic) and just giving us a space to commune. The relationships that have been formed as a result of it speak for themselves!
I remember that episode of testers.. when I started watching them way back I thought man those are some brutally honest reviews lol They always got to the point quickly.
The story telling in this video is inspiring. I had strong feels when you talked about the world journey of your run club and it reinforces why I subscribe to your channel. Always awesome content
Weartesters needs no introduction for me. I’ve been following both of your channels for years. You and Chris are two of my favorite TH-camrs! Chris is the ultimate basketball shoe geek even more so than you are a running shoe geek. He has a wealth of knowledge of not only the specs of each shoe but also the history of them. I can’t wait for the collab video, what a pleasant surprise! Btw, congrats on CIM and for inspiring us with your videos throughout the year! I had the pleasure of meeting you at the Kofuzi Run Club LA. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Chris is a walking encyclopedia of not just shoe specs but also shoe designers. He has inspired me to look deeper into the people behind the shoes. It's something I hope to bring more to the forefront in 2023.
What a whirlwind of a running year it has been for you, culminating at CIM! Participating in a few of your runner's weekends has been 2022 highlights for me - thank you, Mike for all that you do.
Awesome and Congrats Michael, I’ve been following you since I started following and Jameson Michael 5 years ago. You have transcended as a runner and your content just keeps getting better and better.
I was initially worried that the Weartesters segment would be an awkward fit, but I'm glad it overall made sense in the video (other than the fact that it happened in a chronologically and geographically linked way). they're not just shoes.
No, thank YOU, Kofuzi, for being: the ultimate storyteller, motivator, ambassador, and person. We are here because of you. A job well-done and can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store for you and the rest of us in the Kofuzi Run Club! Happy Holidays and a prosperous New Year!
I loved all of it. But🥶 love: Chicago man travels the world, runs scores of races, and finally gets back to CIM and is VERY cold, yet basks in warmth of great running community which he has helped create. Bravo, Mike!❤
CIM is obviously a great race, but, watching this is bittersweet because the 2019 CIM was the only DNF I've had in my career, I'm 67. That said, Mike's vlogs are so good, I had to watch this and I'm glad I did.
Thank you Cousin Ko for controlling inspire and inform us with all the running related items. Glad to have met you I Columbus and being able to interact with you throughout 2022!
Loved the weartesters part! And the story of the zoom flight 95s - I just came from the weartesters video and was thinking "I wonder which is kofuzis favourite basketball shoe..."
Beautiful video as usual. Thanks for being so generous and sharing these precious moments with us. I’ve been following you since 2020 and these recaps are my favorites videos of all TH-cam.
What a trip in many ways!. I was going to suggest this meet up and then boom it happened !.. I just love each of your channel’s!. Great vid and content as always..
Indy's Monumental Marathon also had Nuun on the course this year, I think for the first time, replacing Gatorade. Probably depends on who is mixing it, but I felt like it was much less concentrated than when I use the tabs for myself at home.
if I'm not mistaken though, I think Nuun Endurance is what's on course for marathons. and I don't think the endurance comes in tabs (which have no or little carbs)
Wow amazing video! As a longtime weartesters watcher & the basketball enthusiast, you're correct that I've now come into the runners world and it's a huge market! Wonderful work 👏
I believe for races they use Nuun Endurance, and my understanding is that it only comes in powder and not tabs. I don't know for sure with Monumental though
Hey, Been watching your videos of years now but still feel I can learn to be better and faster. Could you make some vids on traning, strength work that has worked for you etc. Maybe collaborate with some other people for each topic
I’m not a coach nor do I want to be one at the moment. I occasionally will show what I’m doing, but my general answer is to run more easy miles with more consistency throughout the years
As to "flawless execution", I think they're pushing the limit on how many people can be bussed from finish to start in a reasonable amount of time. Based on my 2011/2012 participation where I just got on a bus a bit before 5, I was at the Capitol building about 4:45, faced with a massive line to the busses. By the time I got off the bus in Folsom, and into the mandatory porta potty line it was pushing 6:50. I was at the front of the porta line to hear the countdown, and trying to finish fast as the starting gun went. Since it was chip timed it wasn't THAT big a deal, but it meant I couldn't start with the pace group I wanted. Next year I'll be downtown a lot earlier, but I think that's a logistical issue they're going to have to address. (Also hear several busses got lost). In general yes, it's extremely well run.
things go in seasons, and there's a bit of experimentation. but there's a bit of relativity at play on the viewer's end. depending on which snapshot of time you check back in with the channel, it might be a couple of travel videos. or, it might be 8 shoe review videos in a row. or it could be nothing but workout videos as I get ready for a 5k. I'm not a coach, and I don't want to be one, so there's been less focus on the workouts that I do (especially as I've honed in on a very small set of uncomplicated marathon specific workouts that work for me and that I do over and over again - how many mile repeat videos does a person want to watch?). and the channel has always been a shoe review channel, first and foremost. so that is always where I re-center. but, for whatever it's worth, both Seth and I each started out as Family Vloggers.

Nightwing / Chris is so awesome, been following him for years 🔥❤️
Forever will be a life-long member of the Kofuzi Run Club! May it continue to grow!
Thank you 🙏
Weartesters studio tour, nice! I'm a sneakerhead and a runner. Glad to see the crossover. Thank you for sharing.
I'm glad the segment worked for the video!

I was reciting the list to my wife, and she was like, 'you forgot a couple'
The sentimental feelings are strong with this one 👋🏾

Hope you enjoy it!

You're a great storyteller Kofuzi! Loved the weartesters segment and the closing line.

Awesome job and great weekend capture of CIM! We had a great time on the shake out run and was a pleasure to meet you…keep getting it! 🤙
Thanks so much for braving the elements to join the run!

Fantastic video, I'm always enjoying them!
Thanks for watching!
I would love to hit CIM looks so cool! Another great Vlog
You should do the Running Nerd Double next year: TRE to CIM
(2023 may be a spectating year for me)

I had a lot of fun!
Great video and excited to see the running world through your storytelling 🤜🤛
Freaking epic world tour! Enjoy a much deserved holiday break!
Glad to have been party of your journey, it has been an epic year. Need to know more about that `orange` sauce`.
it was orange sauce like on an orange chicken dish. or like a sweet and sour sauce.
Congrats on wrapping up the 2022 Kofuzi tour! It’s mostly US centric this year, and I hope you will visit even more places around the world next year.
internationally, tokyo on the list so far. fingers crossed for London and Budapest 🤞

I'm here for the food, It's a Kofuzi runner's weekend !
Yo, what’s going on!! I definitely need to save some money and get myself to CIM. Looks so much fun and a lot of Kofuzians out there.
YES! Less shoe buying will get you to CIM :)
it is becoming a bit of a gathering place for us

Memories, right?
Nice video! You doing the LA marathon this year?
Probably not, as I have Tokyo and Boston on the calendar already, but I’m thinking about coming out to spectate
I can’t believe you ate a Chipotle burrito the night before your marathon.
I'd say it happens about half the time before a marathon that I travel for. it's easy and available
@@kofuzi so it's like the guy in Princess Bride that builds immunity to poison....
Hey!
Im planning to run CIM this year. Any suggestion on where to stay near the finish line?
Theres a lot of great options depending on your price point. It’s pretty easy to get around on foot on race day
"Reliably good weather" - comes to Sac the weekend of the winter storm LOL Tragic
Stopped raining right as the gun went off. Sunny just in time for beers
shoutout weartesters & go knicks lol

Isn't Vegemite the best? Well done Matt
People trying vegemite for the first time should be warned that it’s salty

Seems like your channel has taken on more of a running lifestyle approach. Ie: Seth Demoor. Less training talk.
