I really liked learning this trimming technique. Your head getting in the way was a little bit distracting though. Maybe you could put the camera at a slight angle so we don't miss any of the technique demonstration?
Love the quilt. Hope we will see you finish the quilt. Have you used liberty fabric for this . It does look like some is their material. Just starting to make us a new quilt using liberty fabric. X
Hi Alison, you could absolutely use half hexies but you would need to calculate how many are needed to border the quilt and you would need some to be cut vertical and some horizontal so we prefer to trim at the end to give a neat straight line.

First this is absolutely beautiful! I'm new to quilting and see your hexi's are double sided. Is there batting inside? Was this quilt as you go?
The hexies are not double-sided, once the hexies were stitched together the batting and backing was added.
completely off topic... but how do you braid your hair that way? I love it!

Yes I have used Liberty Tana Lawn, we have a wonderful range of Liberty Tana Lawn via our online store - thestrawberrythief.com.au/
Looks easy enough….but aren’t you cutting into your stitches by trimming the bits off? I don’t understand how you aren’t.
Why not add half hexies? I'm new to EPP.

Where have you been. I have not seen you on ytube.
