I think this is my very favorite of all your videos. Thank you, Kate, for showing me that it is okay to work slowly on a project and that it is also okay to work on several projects at once.
Lucky Agnes🦄 She will have a beautiful quilt that her grandma made especially for her. I’m sure she will cherished forever and someday tuck her own children in to bed with this beautiful quilt. Really beautiful Kate💜💙💚
Hello, Kate. It's good to see you. I've put aside my son and daughter-in-law's quilt to make curtains for my grand daughter's room. I'm using all my scraps and sewing them sort of like a crazy quilt. I have to make six panels and have finished two (have not put lining on yet and grommets). I got her these very cute rods with polka dots in pink, red, green, and blue. And many of the scraps were fabrics I used in her quilt. Right now, her favorite color is pink. I am putting grommets in the curtains so she can open and close them herself. At almost four years of age, she's very into doing everything herself. In less than a month, she will be sharing her mom and dad and me with a baby brother. Your hexagons look wonderful. Be safe. And to all of you on the lime green sofa, stay safe, too.
Kate this is my favorite quilt. These are my favorite colors. I feel like I am taking a swim in the sea. Thank you for sharing and please show more as you go along. Take care. Ludmila Schicchi
Oh Kate I took the jump...I have ordered my very own personal iPad. Quite a bit of expense right at this moment.. But being in during the pandemic.. I decided to reward myself. This quilt is stunningly beautiful...lucky Miss Agnes.
lovely quilt Kate, It is good to have a sleepy day sometimes, and do a project that does not need to be finished in a hurry or soon, just had a nap here too think un early night here, have a beautiful week Kate, stay safe , stay well and keep smiling x x
This is the first time I have ever seen a hexagon quilt. It is really beautiful and I'm sure your granddaughter will treasure it. Love the cupcake in the middle too. So much fun for her.
I love hearing and watching Kate! i feel like i’m there in their room! so comfortable and learn how to use a foam board to put the hexagons and start where they want to travel- i would like the Sizzle cut- off hexagon- Fun and life! Thank you ! every-time!
A lovely way to start my day,,,,, What gorgeous colors,Kate! I saw someone use a glue stick thing to rub on the fabric so it sticks to the cardboard! You are so good with color!! Elaine in canada🏡🏠🏡🏠 Stay well,,,,,
I, too found you and you're my very best friend 💕. Everything about your posts are so uplifting and encouraging ❤️. Yet so very realistic 😂. Thank you! Thank you! Lost my hubby 19 most ago and found you to drag me out of melancholy to joy! Wisconsin USA / Michelle A very busy grandma of 16 and one great!
Yea!!! It’s Kate. Sure glad you decided to make a video. Wow. The quilt for Agnes is gorgeous. What yummy colors. Really Kate. What is a video without Norma. Lol. Oh my. That quilt is “eye candy”.
This is my favourite kind of video. It's as if we are all in your kitchen while you work and chat with us about how you are making the quilt. It is sweet when the cats put in an appearance and gently drift away again. It's just so quiet, tranquil, serene and calming. Thank you Kate.
I throughly love following you. I am a quilter and enjoy watching you create. I live in Pennsylvania, USA but enjoy your English works and chuckle at the things you call stuff. Please stay safe and be busy.
Lazy Sundays are the best when I get to spend a bit of time with Kate. I so look forward to the time. The hexies are fabulous. I have a Grandmother's Flower Garden started using 1930s reproduction fabrics. Maybe someday I'll finish it. I love the colors you are using in your quilt. You have a special touch for putting the colors together. Take care, Kate. Till next time. love. XO
Nice to see you again Kate.watching you do the quilt for Agnes, is mesmerizing. It's a perfect gift . You have impressive gadgets, I'm well impressed!!!
So much work! The great thing is, Agnes will enjoy this and you have all of the videos that she can see when she’s older, so she really appreciates how much time and effort grandma put into this amazing beautiful, colorful work of art!!
Hello Kate, Norma and all who are resting on the sofa. Beautiful colors and like that machine you are using. ☔ Here atop my little hill in Idaho the same rainy day has set in. Hope you all will pass these brownies down to the others. Did anyone find the Purple and green tea cozy I left on the sofa last week? If you like it enough to want one, just pick it up and wish yourself up one. Nobody but the one holding it can see it, but then that is one of the things what makes the LGS and magic wishes so much fun isn't it? 💞
Hello Susan! June gloom here in Washington state as well. Thanks for the Brownies. Didn't notice a tea cozy, but I'm drinking coffee today. A delicious dark roast. All those who'd like some, hold your mug up.
Love your podcast and hexagon quilt Kate! I'm a new subscriber from Arne and Carlos. I made a queen size Grandmother's Garden from hexagons about 25 years ago. It was all handmade but I traced each piece with pencil on my fabric and cut each piece out by had, No Sizzix machine. I did not use papers just hand stitched the seams. It was on our bed for years but now it is so worn and put away in a cedar chest. That was such a fun project. Yours will be so beautiful. But maybe you have finished it by now, Glad to see you have a kitty. I have two girl kitties and they are so much company, Looking forward to watching more of your videos,
I never knew what I would do with the machine you are using. Brilliant and I will be on the search for one. They work so efficiently. I LOVE your beautiful glasses. Very smart. It has been 30 years ...since I have played with hexagons. I will gather up my beautiful scraps this summer and will have a portable process to take with me outside for summertime projects. Agnes will enjoy her time with Grandma Kate for years to come. Quiet days are essential now ...a breathing room space to nourish our souls. Peace be with you Kate.
What a great number of quilts you must have made to have accumulated so many scraps. It's extra special that a bit of each quilt will one day keep Agnes safe and warm.
What a treasure! Thanks for taking us through your decision-making process as you design, it's my favorite part of quilting. You get to PLAY with your fabrics! And make something wonderful at the same time...
I've just watched your video and learnt so much about English quilting. So many tips. I bought one of your bird kits the other day but now I've seen you making it I will get on with finishing it. I'm very slow. I love your vibrant colours .
Thanks so much for showing your design process Kate, it’s exactly what I needed. Ever since I saw your completed Agnes quilt, I’ve been wanting one of my own. I unearthed a “cools” Kaffe Fassett junior jelly roll, and promptly began cutting and thread basting a pile of 1” hexies. I also cut from my yardage stash, since I have few scraps because I’ve only made 2 quilt so far, and one was a jelly roll race, so no real scraps there. But that’s ok. I see fabrics I’ve accumulated over the years as my paints, and now it’s time to start using some of that paint to create the art I want. I’ve not got as much variety as you so far, but I’ve only got about 400 hexies basted, and can shop my stash first for some purples and aquas and teals and blues, because those are the colours I like. Thanks to you, I know I need to have a mix of darks and lights in with my mostly mediums, for a balanced design. Better get out to that hardware store to look for some foamboard that’s thick enough for my pins … and some more painters’ tape to hold my hexies together as I prefer the flat-back seaming method to sew my hexies together. No deadline, so I’m taking my time to enjoy the process. I appreciate all the videos you made on this quilt (& even those where Agnes’s quilt was the backdrop!). Thank you! ~Diana K.
My dear Kate, I have binge watching your videos on the last Sunday in January 2021. I have enjoyed each video all over again. I have noticed your thimble and have tried to find one in the shops in my town in South Carolina. No Luck,, I have a hard time using the timbles I have bought. Please tell me how I can get one like yours. I want to try making a hexagon piece for my dining table. Thank you for teaching us and especially the older ones who have never learned this way to quilt. Adore your cats and your country side. I think it much be wonderful to walk in your country side and see all of God's beautiful creations. Your flowers blooming , and the birdsongs. Thank you for sharing.❤
It’s beautiful, so glad you shared. You are very inspiring. All my crafty things have moved 1500 miles ahead of me. I can’t wait til I can work on my hexagon quilt again. A quilt I never would have imagined going until I watched your videos! Thank you!!
Your cranking the sizzix reminds me of cranking flannel diapers through the wringer washer... Eons ago. Love the layout of the hexies and the cupcake in the middle of it all. I have been watching Robson Green rambling through Northumberland, such beautiful countryside. It's next on my bucket list.
Watching you play with the pieces as you decide where they should go reminds me of your video where you working on the jigsaw puzzle. Many of the same skills put to use, but here there is no one answer for where to put a piece. Very freeing! No wonder you enjoy it so!
This is what you call “Lazy”? 😄 Kate, you get more done on a “lazy” day than I do in a week! What an extraordinary, amazing quilt that will be! Your granddaughter is so fortunate to have you as her grandmother. She will cherish this quilt all her life. And she can watch your videos and see how you made it- how wonderful that will be! Thank you for recording this, and please keep us updated on the progress of this quilt. You are so talented!
I have not been on for a while doing things with my mom and dad but now it's time to watch I just bought a thimble like yours and I live it thank you for telling me about it awhile ago
Hello Kate, so nice to hear from you. It’s always a pleasure to visit with you and see what your working on. This will be a beautiful quilt for your granddaughter. I’m am expecting my first great grandchild in November, so I need to get started on a quilt. Take care and stay well. Love from Chicago

Hi Kate. Hexagons are on my list for one of these days. I like the way you use the board...maybe I'll start some EPP hexies as a TV watching pastime. Hello Kate. Thank you for your video. I really enjoyed it. Your little cutting machine is brilliant! I love your quilt. It looks like a coral reef and I think the circle fabrics makes it seem as though little fishes are peeping lol. Lovely. Take care now xxx
Another beautiful quilt, and sweet to think of Agnes dreaming beneath it in years to come. I'm glad to know all is well at the LHH. You look 5 yrs younger with your beautiful white hair framing your face, very becoming.
Love this. I have never considered this project. I think I would like this, something you can leave and come back to. Thank you Kate😘. Hello everybody.
I just found your channel yesterday. I LOVE this! I tried it... Wow, you make it look So EASY! I'd love to get my hands on one of those cutters! I looked them up.. over 100 dollars! That ain't happening for awhile! Lol I hope I can cut them out by hand and get them them all the right size! The quilt your mother made is beautiful! I probably wouldn't use it either!
This is fabulous. A real work of art. I am currently making fabric collage art and have wanted a hand project to work on as well. Hi Kate. Hexagons are on my list for one of these days. I like the way you use the board...maybe I'll start some EPP hexies as a TV watching pastime. Just got an Accuquilt fabric cutter last week and have been scrap busting with piles of half square triangles. Flying geese are fun too. Have a great week.
Hello Kate. Thank you for your video. I really enjoyed it. Your little cutting machine is brilliant! I love your quilt. It looks like a coral reef and I think the circle fabrics makes it seem as though little fishes are peeping lol. Lovely. Take care now xxx
Delightful. Thank you.

I love watching you work on your hexagon quilt. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday.
Oh I love this quilt process. Mayb I’ll make one
I just found your channel yesterday. I LOVE this! I tried it... Wow, you make it look So EASY! I'd love to get my hands on one of those cutters! I looked them up.. over 100 dollars! That ain't happening for awhile! Lol
I hope I can cut them out by hand and get them them all the right size!
The quilt your mother made is beautiful! I probably wouldn't use it either!
It will be a treasure once done - lovely gift for Agnes!
So lovely. I love your quilt.
This is fabulous. A real work of art. I am currently making fabric collage art and have wanted a hand project to work on as well. This quilt for your little granddaughter is so beautiful, it could be hung on a large wall and gazed at for hours. But even more valuable is that you are creating such a piece of art that will make Agnes' visits so wonderful and cozy. You have a real eye for placement of color for a flowing vibe. It reminds me of a little lilly pond we had once (with goldfish). My husband built a pergola above it and we planted heirloom wisteria that draped beautifully over the pond. It drew bees, but it was magical. I have always enjoyed EPP but your Agnes Quilt has to be my favorite of all time. And thanks for sharing your methods. I had been using the glue stick, but now that I think about it, I like your method better. I have really enjoyed watching your videos. Thanks so much!
Quite unique.. is going to be gorgeous!
Gorgeous quilt!
