When shopping for an exotic car, such as a GranTurismo, it is important to know what you are getting for your hard-earned money. this guy has no clue what he is talking about. same exact cars, 1 with dual exhaust and no fogs is just new body style of the other.. pay no attention to this. cant compare to completely diff body styles. they all come w the same front end and dual exhaust 13 and after except the mc stradale. left one is clearly 13 or newer and right is 12 or older.
It has a different body and style, which is why it’s a different model
The left one could have a mc style bumper upgrade
and seat upgrade also?
ur comparing 2 diff yrs!!!! the 13s starred coming w no fog lights. the fog lights is a 12. all the 13s except the mc have wide dual exhaust and no fogs. the diff is the vent on sides. thts all.
I have a GT S and it has 4 exhaust tips..
well personally speaking I feel like the quad exhaust setup is more aggressive than the single square setup.

so the base model is effortlessly more cleaner, classier, its night and day to me!!
I don't doubt you know what you're talking about but you should've shared some more of that information. One has fog lights one has chrome grill one has quad tailpipes one has passenger badge slightly different... that's it? Except for those visuals you're getting the exact same car? Yes they both have the same engine but what about ride quality there must be something a little different - you're going to force me to go find other sources to get these answers.
They ride pretty well the same.
Its only the MC stradale that is vastly different due to being very track focused
Sport maybe a tad stiffer suspension wise compared to the base, but i still found it as comfortable as the base
The reason the black one looks better is the aluminum wheels. They always look better than the black wheels.
It's a matter of personal taste. I like the black ones more.
Dude, you are comparairing the same car. S and sport mean the same. The difference between both is S is before 2012 et sport is after 2013. S stands for sport.
S doesn't mean standard. Both have 4.7L engine.
Granturismo sport is un updated version of Granturismo S, with new bumpers (From Mc Stradale for the front bumper), seats, infotainment, 20 more HP and ZF six-speed automatic gearbox on all sport models (a six-speed sequential as an option)
Standard version is named only Granturismo (written on the dashboard) and it's not called standard, only Granturismo.

Because in your summary you said : GranTurismo and the GranTurismo Sport. I can see in your video you are showing a GranTurismo S and a GranTurismo Sport.
I suppose you noticed you were wrong, that's why you don't give any more answer. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me, I'm ok.
Why do the base look so much better? Quad tips, fog lights, etc..

Prefer the standard black one. Adjustable headrests plus fog lamps whereas the other sport doesn’t. The seats look more comfortable in the standard. My brother has the sport but I’ve only been in it a handful of times and can’t really remember what it was like. Either way you probably pay more for a little less just to have a trim style and a badge that says sport. And I prefer the quad pipes over the sport badge doubles and I’m not a fan of blacked allows either. Each to their own of course. Plus the insurance. I’m not sure if the sport has anymore power/speed than the standard, it to me I’d be more than happy with the standard I should think.

Barbie Baldone depending on year and mutliple configuration options availability, the standard can look as good the sport and MC Sport line and the sport can also look very standard.

Not for the majority of people. Those fog lights are really something from the past, they got rid of them and place those perfectly integrated vents. Also the taillights were darkened to look more modern. Its style is timeless now.

a difference is the front bumper, it has the little front scoop thing that makes the sport look way better

I think you realised this about half way through when you saw the 's' on the dash of the older one...
Toby Street thank you for the input but you are mistaken - look at the front bumpers - one on left if a Sport since it doesn't have Fog lights and has a different rear exhaust. The dash will say Sport on the vehicle on the left as well
Afraid you're wrong here. The older GT, whether sport or not, had fog lights, the newer ones were given the MC stradale front end.
I own a sport, and it has fog lights... it's an 08 model
Toby Street I'm sorry but I sold both of these vehicles and when you run the VIN into Carfax, VAuto and eBay it differentiates the 2. Please don't debate this with me. I have been doing this 12 years. Bumpers, exhaust, Trident in grill, and badging on dash both different - not the same. I'm sorry but you are mistaken so please refrain from commenting if you don't have the facts. Thank you
Dude, with respect, it could be a difference in where you are. US models could be a little different, but factually, I am right for the UK and Europe.

Toby Street I don't know about European spec vehicles as we don't get them here in the USA. I have a lot of followers and subscribers and don't want people telling me I'm wrong making me lose credibility when this is my profession.
I like the base sport because of the chrome grill and quad tips and the adjustable headrest

Archie YT Not since the 2009 model year, when they upgraded the engine to a 4.7L.
Is the 4.2 equipped with vvt? (variable valve timing)
It appears I may have been wrong. I can't find much info on it, but from what I've read it seems that Maserati didn't discontinue the 4.2L verison until 2018.

So another words, a couple extra grand to not have fog lights, have the grill painted black, have the rims painted black, and a seats with a hole in them?
In 2013+ model actually so many upgrades in the engineering part were made. 4.7 V8 with higher HP (454HP vs 434HP) and a number of improvements in interior quality (better materials and fit and finish) and tech features (bluetooth and USB), suspension, much better reliability, more aggressive look, darker tailights, etc...

I believe GranTurismo S actually has 4.2L V8 unlike GranTurismo Sport with 4.7 V8

Mohammed Al-Shanfari in 2017 (for model year '18) the GT will get the new interior. Same as Levante and other NEW Maserari's.
In 2018, the redesigned 2019 GT will be out
will maserati be bringing back the Mc12 and will it be based of the LaFerrari?
Liam O'Flaherty they are bringing the Alfieri to market first but no plans for another MC 12

Carlos Vreal Great question. I actually had a 2005 Gran Sport back in 2009 that had the 4.2L but since 2008 all the Gran Turismo's have had the 4.7L (at least in the US)

Correct me if I'm wrong but another way and one of the easiest is to check the trident logo on the front, if it is all chrome then it is a standard and if it has two red stripes it is a sportier model (it also applies for the ghibli and quattroporte).
