- Super stoked about this upload! I tried to make a single shot more appealing and fun to go with the show. I wish I was able to get more angles of the show, but I had pretty awesome spot upfront. Definitely, one of the best shows I've seen in awhile- Enjoy

John 5 is a very underrated guitarist, with a lot of theatrics and stage presence as well. Plus, he just seems like a genuinely good guy. Love that he is a Telecaster fanatic like me also!
He's not underrated at all, the dude has played for tons of high profile bands, guitar magazine covers, interviews, toured with Vai, and is super well respected. wtf are you on about.
@@godbelow wtf are you on about? I don't think you understand what underrated means. The dude wasn't saying he's not well-known, he was saying he's underrated. Anyone with half a brain knows he played with Manson, Vai, Alice Cooper etc, but in terms of big name guitarists? John 5 is pretty much never in the conversation. If you ask a guitarist to name their top 5 axe wielders, I can pretty much guarantee John 5 isn't mentioned. That doesn't mean he isn't amazing, it means he's underrated, hence the comment above.

He’s playing a tele with very articulate pickups- and actually not that much fuzz/distortion/ reverb. Really nothing to hide behind/very unforgiving for guitar players. That is to say-he is indeed that good.
He’s playing a two humbucker guitar through a pedal board and a high gain amp. 😊
@@thosemonstersHe doesn't use effects. All the effects you hear are done by him on the guitar.
Effects Pedals just make it easier for those who can't do them without help. 😊
@@bugstomper4670 John 5’s signal chain includes a Vox V845 wha, a Boss DD-7 delay, Boss SD-1 overdrive, Boss OC-3 octave, Boss AW-3 dynamic wha, Boss DM-2W delay, and a Boss NS-2 noise suppressor. It’s impossible to create wha sounds, delay sounds, etc without pedals.

Agreed! Not sure I get the no heart/feeling thing, either...watch any of his interviews and you can see plenty...yes, he tends to play the same things for interviews, but you can see how much he loves playing...if that's not heart, then I don't know what is...also, just because he makes it look easy, doesn't mean there's no heart either... ; )
He gets out of control on the stage and in the studio, but apart from that he behaves as a gentle. He retweets everything talking about him as a response.
John 5 is the real deal right up there with EVH randy r. His innovative way of playing reminds me of beck at times J5 can do it all !
im gonna put J5 above them. rather than rely on pedals he comes up with different ways to strum, bend etc to get his sound. pretty basic setup and also very diversified in the music he plays

Ray Gallant Randy and EVH didn’t rely on effects to play they innovated with them as an added texture. That’s overstated a lot and I love John 5, I opened for him last night it was awesome

Richard Pearsosn, my guess is it's John's salute to Gene Simmon's vomiting blood when he performed God of Thunder. The blood is really messy and well drool isn't quite as bad yet I agree with you it IS disconcerting to say the least. Personally I think the makeup is enough gimmick all he needs what with the gargantuan talent J5 possesses. However that's my opinion and obviously not J5's. *shrugs*
The very finest guitarist alive today, bar none. Obviously Rory Gallagher will remain the best natural guitarist of all time but John 5 is only half a fret away.

Very charismatic player. It usually seems to me that he always plays the same solo, but at the same time, he looks like "ok, I can play stuff 1000 times more technical, but I just don't want to".
