I never knew who he was until about a year ago when I watched an interview with him. He certainly has a stage presence, but what attracted me to him in the interview was his intelligence and humility. He is the total guitarist.

I have seen john in concert 4 times in concert, every time it was out of this world. Met him twice, he is a hot shit. So funny, pleasure to talk to, just an all around amazing human being in general.

I saw him with Queensryche at the House of Blues in Dallas.....He put on the best show and dominated that concert.... I've seen a lot of great guitarist's in my 52 yrs but he is absolutely the greatest guitarist I have ever seen.........NOBODY can shred like him !!
Well, what he’s playing here isn’t really technically challenging. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a very good guitar player. But nothing about him really blows my mind.
When you're a master at guitar hero. Love John 5, glad I got to see him several times (with Marilyn Manson and Zombie). I feel deeply for him when he lost his sister (that night him and Manson got into a fight on stage), and nobody can hold that against him (especially if they have lost someone close). Anyway, he's seems like a really cool down to Earth dude. His solo, with Bucket Head's kill switch... holy shit! That made my night. Thank you for sharing. What a cool experience you had.
