I have to say, the control scheme of Surviving Mars on XBOX is really weird, and takes some getting used to. But once you get used to it, it works really well. It adds this cool layer of the game where you feel "I'm not just playing an Earth game, I have to go into Mars brain mode" and it adds more to the immersion factor this game has that you really don't get to have in most city/colony building games.
It's not OCD to want to place things efficiently and orderly. OCD is a very real mental disorder with debilitating consequences. Regardless, I'm not impressed with Blitz's content with Surviving Mars. After watching Quill18, I can say Quill does every single facet of this better. He's actually explaining things, he's building things functionally and aesthetically, and it actually feels like he wants to play and enjoys the game.

- Why not have spaced-out (get it???!!!) power generators - each one powering each area, rather than overloading and not reaching any areas? - Why not use wind turbines for the main cheap energy producer, with many/enough built evenly-spaced-out? And replaced with bigger energy producers once those are needed/enough funds are available.

i don't know why but as i get older im going crazy for this type of game, city builder, colony management I love these type of games.
Because they are very relaxing. Gives you a sense of stability mentally which we start looking for anyways as we get older
