Yeah. I'm a violist, but one time I played my friends violin to see if it was as hard as they always said they were, and, well, it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy! The G string on the viola is way harder than their G and D COMBINED!

I'm not really a musician, I'm a dancer and acrobat/circus artist, but I come from a family of musicians, so when I was little, I learned to play the recorder, the piano and the violin. During my teenage years I also taught myself some basic guitar skills. Of course I'm not super good at either of those instruments and because I chose to turn my passion, my art, into my job, I obviously have to invest a lot of time in practicing pirouettes, oversplits and impossible-looking contortion poses instead of practicing scales on the violin. I still love to practice and improve my violin or guitar skills when I have some spare time at the end of the day though.
...Wait, why am I telling you the story of my life?? I think I went off on a little tangent there...lol
What I meant to say was this ( *TL;DR* ): I'm a dancer and a hobby musician and because I know how hard it is to really learn to play an instrument well, I appreciate everyone who can play (or is learning to play) an instrument, no matter if it's one I play myself or not. I'm sure it's super hard to learn to play the viola, the clarinet, the saxophone, the drums etc., so why should I look down on the people who can play instruments I can't play...?

@@wendyliu183 if ya wanna rip pirouettes, get into tap. in my heyday i could do 4 max with any sort of consistency, barefoot. but taps, at ~10 yrs old, we were aiming for 8-10 across the floor. and 5 or 6 would become achievable for most. the best would aim for 12 and nail it pretty consistently, and even the worst of us would have a unicorn perfect 10 once in a blue moon. though never when the teacher was looking of course... and we trained on hardwood. so if you're in a school with only marley, as much as that's helpful for grip, it is a little restrictive on rotations. and slides, which are my fave things to do in taps
