Very nice. I took AP Calc BC as a sophomore, and there was a freshman in my class. Brilliant guy, and overall great guy I got to know. And yes, I did get cooked by LinAlg as well, had to take it again but did very well my second go!
getting cooked by linear algebra is so relatable 😭the topics seem so damn easy but when you're testing yourself you realize its way too much to comprehend. i did almost the same thing like the guy did but everything was online and I self-taught myself calc BEFORE I even got into the class.
Ha! My Calc BC teacher, who also used to be an AP Reader (i.e., one who'd score FRQs at an annual convention in St. Louis), told us stories of how she got surprised remarks from other AP Readers about how many 11th graders were enrolled in her school's Calc BC classes. "That many juniors in Calc BC, really?" she quoted.
This is what I wish I could've done. I was always testing in the upper 90's percentile wise on math state tests in elementary school. Though my school district was terrible, and i was never able to take advanced classes. I never took an advanced class until highschool, where i took honors geo in 9th grade, having already grasped most algebra 1 topics. Then I went on to take Algebra 2 honors and pre calc in 10th, ap stats in 11th, and ap calc ab in 12th (school didnt offer bc). But what i realized was, it isn't like I wasn't smart enough to be learning these courses earlier on. Heck if I was taughtin 5th-6h grade i could probably understand most of algebra and geometry, i just never got the chance. It just goes to show how much the school system around you affects everything, and why you gotta take advantage of it.
@Demon_vv you're getting the wrong idea. I'm not bringing this guy down. Taking calc bc in middle school is unheard of, but it's also because he got the opportunity to do so. I mean think about it, there are not many people who even get the chance to take advanced classes before high school
Believe it or not s lot if students who start my elementary school program at pre k move on to doing HSP Calculus BC (essentially AP Calculus BC but for the middle school years (grades 2-5) as they finish every year in a semester. This video really reminds me of the HSP Program at the school I run!
He's just jealous that AP Precalculus wasn't released when he was in elementary school and that he was consequently forced to take on-level or honors precalculus 😢
Planning on taking the Georgia Tech Dual Enrollment Multi Variable Calculus class senior year after im done taking ap pre calc this year (10th) & ap calc (11th). Should I be scared for these courses or are they relatively simple with the right amount of practice?
Great job.! Always proud of you guys!

they are definitely tough, but if you keep up with the work/stay ahead and you do a lot of practice, you should be fine
