ECM hitting their stride in '77 with the likes of the brilliant E Weber and company. Accessible interplay that holds up-without qualification. Thanks for the quality u/l!
Somewhere between 11-12 minutes this song takes a turn that requires a serious listen and has a special spot on the musical tree of life. Can't quite articulate what this song does in and to my soul, I think it's somber, but very, very special.
Also be sure to give a listen to Weber’s seminal contributions to the Ralph Towner albums ‘Solstice’ and ‘Solstice: Sound and Shadows’, as well as his early work with Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek. Frankly, just about any ECM album he appears on in the 1970s. Nearly 50 years on, and this music still sounds fresh and vibrant. Enjoy!
@@juergenhoffmann1407 Well I’m in NY and they are not appreciated as much as I think they deserve to be in the US. Neither is John Surman who’s another best of the best type.
Merci néanmoins d'avoir posté, cela me permet de découvrir votre superbe travail :)
@@PericolososporeJerzy I'm referring to what you said about ECM being unlocked and a change in rights... Why would there be a risk if that's the case?
I saw his group perform in NYC at the Bottom Line in the late 1970's. A very unique jazz talent.

Don't sleep on Charlie Mariano either! (Like I did). They have a few performances together
In fact, it sounds like. Charlie is playing on this recordinl! I think these guys played mostly in Europe so were slept on here in the states
Simply Devine 🇺🇸✅🇫🇷. Thank you.
My favorite piece of music written in the modern era.
I agree :-)
Fifty years passed and still great to listen and we can hearing how they are in osmose
Mariano and Marshall are underrated!!! Phew!!!
They are not. We all appreciate them very very much, and the late Charlie Mariano was a real real gentleman. Listened to him quite often in Germany.
