Hot Takes:
1. Puerto Rico had the most awkward evening gown performance
2. Top 5 should've been India, Philippines, South Africa, Colombia, AND Bahamas

Paraguay’s face was her saving grace. Her answers has conviction. She sounded right. Sometimes, it’s all about the delivery.
As soon as I saw Puerto Rico walking in that evening gown, that's when I felt that she lost her spark, because the gown didn't make her stand out and the way she carried it made me think that she was uncomfortable wearing it and that she was trying too hard to impress the judges.
South Africa answered. It was direct and concise. It wasn't pageant answers thus why people do not gravitate to it.

I was rooting for India even before she flew for Miss Universe. She literally just flew to Israel to pick up her crown. India was sending strong competitors year after year and after what happened last year with Adline, they were HUNGRY FOR A WIN. And they got it. Harnaaz was Amazing since day 1.

Good for bea not being active in social media during the competition she's somehow a breath of fresh air. It's good to see our representative actually enjoying herself in the competition and not letting any 'critics' affect her presentation unlike what happened to rabiya. I mean look at her she made it to the top 5!
Yes there's no need to be active on social media. Just enjoy the competition and be yourself. The judge don't care much bout your ig pics. Being MU is way more than a colorful ig account. Posting too much is like spamming and taking advantage of the system.

I felt sorry for South Africa. She didn't even really practice for Miss Universe and also those two dresses were from a designer in Dubia all our designers didn't want to design her dresses. All her things were done on last minute. So it easy to go to a competition without any nonsense. She got death threats and her family. Can you imagine if she didn't had all those problems. She hell one of a strong woman.
We will Rise as the Ndlovu Youth Choir sang. Werner is going to come out guns blazing. If we could earn top 3 in such a difficult year, imagine what we will do when the whole country is behind us.

But remember for Miss South Africa her wardrobe was arranged at the last minutes because the sponsors had pulled up because of the the Israel and palestine thing. The government and pro palestine groups did not support her therefore caused sponsors to pull out. I'm happy that she managed to stay strong, followed her instinct and made it that far will all the obstacles she faced
South Africa was thrown to the wolves but she came back leading the pack in the top 3.

I heard Harnaaz wanted something orange to wear as it's her lucky color, but the national director pushed for a silver gown. So finally the designer placed a small orange cloth patch within the inside of the gown. Imagine how phenomenal she would look in an orange gown. What are your thoughts about this?
Orange i don't know how that would have looked on stage , but a something like blue / purple would have looked more amazing on her

My heart breaks when I'm watching people of Paraguay commenting so rudely over the past few days. Never seen a fandom so toxic. They are continuously cyber bullying and harrassing the new Miss universe everywhere. This is the reason their candidate didn't win.

I was actually surprised that Philippines went far in the competition. We are yet to have another Pia and Catriona type competitors. I miss this energy from our representatives.
During preliminaries Thailand came across as uncomfortable and insecure. I don’t think her weight was the issue but the lack of security.

I knew that you would react like that to Bea's performance and even most of us Filipino fans are talking about her facial expressions during the prelims. Bea said on an interview that after the preliminary she opened her social media account and read the viewers comments and critiques that would help her except for the negative ones. She said that the people's comments like her doing the fierce change on her facial expressions was one of those and it helped her to do better on the finals night. Those criticism really helped her to do her best. I'm happy with the results cause for me it was unexpected most of the Filipinos really had a lower expectations to Bea some ppl are saying that she won't make it to the finals and even me I certainly taught that she would only be on the top 10 but when she walked in the evening gown I got the spark and I knew she would make it to the top 5. I'm so proud of her for me she's still a winner because she strikes and get up to the people's expectations. Bea inspired me to be the winner that not everyone expected to win.

I am a Filipino and I personally did not take offense over what you said. Predictions are predictions (and they are personal views/opinions and you are fully entitled to it). Critiques are critiques (and these are for the purpose of improving oneself, as Bea should and she said it herself as well). We have to accept it. That's just it. Thank you, Sovereign!

As a fan of Thailand, I was disappointed in her overall presentation. Her evening gown was unflattering. Her gown for the National pageant would have been a better choice.
For me, India was clearly the winner from the Preliminaries; especially her evening gown performance.
I think Bea’s prelims performance is enough for her to enter finals. And then once she entered finals. Boom!

Lara Dutta answered the same question, during her Top 10 sit down during Miss Universe 2000. Colombia could have easily answered such a question, a woman's sensitivity towards approaching situations around the world.

For you guys who don’t know earlier The Sovereign got fed up with Canada. Ironically, after defending Michael Cinco renowned Filipino designer against their organizations attack, The Canadians came back with a replica Mikimoto Crown to use as the official crown for their Miss universe Contestant. Some thing that The Sovereign said the previous year she really didn’t like and thought it was disrespectful to Miss universe. When they did it again the following year she took it as disrespect towards the miss universe organization and the Fanbase because there was backlash from the fans when they did it the first time. Since they messed up repeatedly three times in a row and seemingly didn’t care she saw that as the organization choosing to not better their behavior and improve and so she banished them. She said unless Canada does really well as a contestant and she is forced to put her on her favorites list she will not do any videos about them or mention them at all. She hasn’t.

I love people came into this edition underestimating my country, The Bahamas because we don't have the sash power. However, we have always sent strong delegates to the pageant and Chantel O'Brian was no exception. In fact she came to this years show with a wealth of pageant experience, a poised demeanor, excellent confidence, excellent platform/advocacy and more. Chantel worked hard to be where she is today in her pageantry career and life. I'm just glad the Universe stage has finally recognised my country. Chantel is the first Queen to make the Top 16 AND Top 10 from The Bahamas but she won't be the last.
Bahamas was in my top 16, But her top ten is very well deserved Im so happy that underatted countries finally has the shot in this year and with belieze winning miss earth i love it
I kept Bahamas in my top 10 during my pre finals prediction .....This woman is Great, I just love her, from her beauty to her confidence and her intelligence, Bahamas should not waste her talent, they should send her to some other International Pageants... I am really glad you talked about the streaming issues I faced that day in order to watch it on time, not one hour later! Even when I bought all sorts of cable package I had to cancel and watch it from freaking Instagram live! That is just insane! And also how they do not post the information of where and when to see it, maybe once and that’s it! Anyway thank you for saying this! Hopefully they will resolve this in the future!

Totally agreed with what you said about India's strategy to really comeback really strong this year. For me, India is really always been just waiting for that right time to snatch that crown back perfectly doing their homework seriously analyzing and observing carefully what they really need to present for a Sure and perfect home run. And I just want to take note and say that Everytime India wins Miss Universe they will also make it extra effort to win Miss World on the same year! I'm just saying. I was about to cry when harnaaz was called in top 5🥺 and then after her full performance I was so damn sure she is going to win(though I knew she will win) and when she was announced as MISS UNIVERSE and i knew she is going to be the most loved miss universe in its history!!!!!! I m so sure and i was crying so much like it was 7-8 am in the morning here and i was soo crying 😭 so damn happy and overwhelmed and tbh I literally asked my mom yesterday that "india is known for its fabric and fashion but still y miss universe contestants from India wear same type of gowns" Other then this harnaaz is a gem 💎🥺❤ and about the people bullying harnaaz after winning guys just know that it shows how jealous u r and we don't care about u ❤🙃 love u bullies
Bea also said that she's thankful to those criticism about her performance in preliminary, that is why Bea conclude that after she watched her preliminary she realize that she forgot to change her facial expression.

For the past few weeks that we delved into the Miss Universe season, it was evident that a couple of Filipino fans got intolerant and aggressive responses to say about various enthusiasts (foreign and Filipino) who have polarized opinions about our dearest representative. It's just so disingenuous that you consider these different opinions as 'toxic' yet not see your condescending, if not, aggresive responses with the same weight. "Seeing things with a silver lining" is one thing. Toxic positivity is another. There's something constructive to take away from these differing remarks that are only rooted from the towering expectations of being a powerhouse country. If we truly support our queens in promoting inclusivity through pageant platforms, we must be able to pursue the same virtue within the community 🙏 I know we are one powerful community, so let's use it for the good where everyone has a safe space to share a piece of their honest insights 😃

Shandi Finnessey (Miss USA 2004) gave the best crtitique on Puerto Rico's walk during EG. There's so much movement on Michelle's shoulders when the movement should all be done by her hips and her core. It looked so weird that instead on focusing on her face, the focus went elsewhere.
Paraguay's EG was excellent, but on her end pose she waved that cape way to much like she was a flag majorette. Covered her face at one point. Taliana Vargas (Colombia 2008) is the gold standard for how to execute flowy dresses with panache.

The Sovereign came to CRITICIZE!! And I stand!! I was all for My hometown queen Miss South Africa but that beige together with everyone was not it. Saw her on the runway and it was beautiful but then top 5 was called and ALL I COULD SEE WAS 🇵🇾 Paraguay and no1 else but INDIA WAS IT! Most consistent from prelims to TOP3 Q and A.
