I SAW THIS MOVIE IN THE THEATRE IN TUCSON,AZ WITH MY MOM & I THOUGHT IT WAS A MASTERPIECE OF CHICANO THEATRE. EDWARD JAMES OLMOS WAS FANTASTIC IN HIS ROLES. REMINDED ME ALOT OF MY POPPS WHO WAS A PACHUCO IN THE LATE 50'S, EARLY 60'S. REST HIS SOUL NOW. MISS U JEFITO
El Pachuco! Edward James Olmos is fantastic in this. Incredible charisma.

We tend to forget how important is the history of el pachuco.
The first seed of rebellion against discrimination and done in such a flashy way.
Through Music, fashion and style from a young generation.
Pachuco mood moved south of the border and is still well and alive in some of mexico barrios.
Zoot Suits came from Black people in Harlem and the music was "Oldies" ie R&B.
