I'm glad that season 5 finally won best drama series because as a die hard long time fan, season 5 was my favorite. Just like I'm glad Breaking Bad finally won best drama series with season 5a. PS- Deadwood should've won Emmys, and it's an INSULT that the Wire was not even nominated for anything.

Michael Imperiolli really did a GREAT performance as “Christopher”. I remember hearing that the kid who played “ Matt Bevalaqua / Drinkwater” was also considered to play Christopher.
The first season lost to The Practice. And the next three seasons lost to The West Wing. The West Wing had some great moments and is definitely one of the 20 greatest TV dramas, and The Practice was a decent show for a while. But clearly, neither made anywhere near the impression of The Sopranos. They were just "safer" choices. Time is always the biggest judge when it comes to quality not awards. The Sopranos is still lauded and debated and seen by many of the greatest show ever. However, at least it did finally broke through, which a lot of great shows don't.
Lol, yes they do....Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Narcos, the list goes on and on...It was The Sopranos that created the era of high quality binge worthy TV. They say The Sopranos are the Beatles of TV.
Probably the most moving and poignant scene of the Sopranos....when Anthony, his son, is very depressed and attempts suicide by jumping in the pool tied to a brick, once he is there, he wants to live, he struggles yells for help and Tony comes to save him--they both start crying. The show itself deserves all its accolades just for that one scene, and a plethora of similar ones, alone!

Poor Adrianna, legend is she had Diahrea for a month after the Emmy.
“My smelly valentine” -Chrissy when Ade had IBS
@@caseye6677 this made me laugh! Thank you!
Amazingly, writer Terence Winter wrote "Long Term Parking"--the Sopranos Emmy Award winner--in only a week, although some of the ideas began to take form in his head (either consciously or unconsciously) during the week or so before, as he procrastinated (as happens to even the very best writers).
Long term parking, the saddest episode in the sopranos.
Such a cold-blooded moment. We all saw it coming, but were hoping for some sort of alternative.
The writers had to do it as a cautionary tail to these young girls that get mixed up with the wrong type and ignore the signs.
Round House yes;'-(
**funniest episode**
Round House Naw, it was just part of the show.
RIP James Gandalfini, but wow he was one nervous guy outside them lenses!
The best actors are...acting is the best coping mechanism for those with high anxiety. To them, it's not only a job,a therapy, an addiction..it's a way to stay alive and survive.
I've acted before. I was very aukward, restless, shy, and or aukward in public sometimes, but on camera the best actors channel that into the moment. That's what counts.
Lol , right?
I really liked Adrianna's character in The Sopranos.
She was one of the main reasons I watched...she's so hot and so cool at the same time.
She was dumb af!
I liked Meadow's sexy ass.
She cane from The sopranos to sons of anarchy that’s a good ass reumse guys
I didn't really care for Adrianna's. I also think she looks like a really average blonde.
My how GRACIOUS this cast is to each other!!!! James and Edie are just all over supporting everyone… just the best❣️
when I first saw the scene where Adriana was killed...I balled and balled. the character was so real, I felt as if I lost a friend. I always felt the same as carmela, it wasn't the same without her
I don't know what to watch after this. Everything looks lame compared.
i feel you bro, let me know if you found sth x_x
Extrawarot the Wire isn't bad but still nothing compares to the Sopranos
already saw that :D
Game of thrones?
I started over, and that is not a joke
Seeing Gandolfini back there brought tears to my eyes.
Drea's speech, the best I've ever seen
Man, if you haven't watched/listened to the Talking Sopranos Podcast you are missing out as a Sopranos fan. Michael and Steve (Bobby Bacala) give so much insight into how great every Sopranos episode was. It is worth your time!
Possibly the greatest series ever presented on television. Superbly acted, directed, written and produced. Indelible characters whose fates were always in question. Nail-biting brilliance.
It was actually pretty funny to see James give Michael that typical Sopranos hug before he went to the stage.
Значит он вне сериала был таким 😊
Я в 2024 году узнал что Джими умер 😢
i love how james stood in the back at the end. legend
That orchestral version of Woke Up This Morning is fire.
They killed it - had to be fun for them to play it too.
This show deserved EVERY AWARD they earned! This is the ONLY show I have ever purchased the whole set for on DVD and don't regret it one time!
Michael Imperioli's Chrissy is one of the great mob characters of all time.
Nothing on TV is worth watching once you've watched The Sopranos.
Nothing.
Very true
true
Mad Men
Mohammed Hussain Breaking Bad was exceptional and for a while was My all time favourite show...then I saw The Sopranos...
Very true
89 nominations n 85 episodes, amazing! !!!!!
Luka Šalković Ya 86 lol
I love the version of Woke Up This Morning that plays when they all go up the stage.
Actually it was way more. This was for S5. They have two more seasons of nominations.
“Long Term Parking” broke my heart. “The Pine Barrons” is my favorite Sopranos episode ever, but this comes a close second.
I'm watching it again and it's up next. I can't bring myself to watch it that's how deep the show is for me.
@@perladelao 😓😓😓😓
Love how happy James was for him. So well deserved.
when Sopranos came out I was a young mother of 4. No time for tv or even able to afford cable really. Now in 2022 I watched it all & for me in my life at this time it was what I needed. I love it & hope it resonates to someone else as well as it is with me. ❤👌
That's awesome on so many levels.
All of The Sopranos is great but season 5 was their Godfather 2.
A masterpiece of television.
Drea's speech was so cute
This is how you know a Series Drama is life changing for American Society. Its 2018, and im watching this and the episodes from almost 20 years from when it first aired. I have never seen an episode until now, and I am completely hooked. No wonder society became so defensive in the early 2000's...everyone thought they were part of the show.
2023
Seeing James makes me tear up. I love how happy he was for Michael.
The Sopranos - the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be
After watching the Sopranos, I simply couldn't get in to the West Wing. It felt too "fake", too TV-esque.
Exactly. Sopranos totally changed tv for me. I don’t wanna sound like a snob but everything else seems like trash.
SecretAgentMan00 I know what you mean I wish I’d never seen it in one sense as nothing comes close so everything I watch is inferior and I don’t enjoy it as much.
West wing was a great show if you were into politics. House of cards was terrible compared to that.
The Institution We can agree to disagree on this subject it’s 👌 Good day to you.
Deadwood should have been out in a different era because it was an amazing show up against the best drama on TV of all time. Just too damn bad.
Justin Sane two HBO show :)
deadwood and sopranos are matched but deadwood is slightly more witty and heartwarming imo
Finn Feaver nah great show but doesn’t compare
As a 40 year old grown arse man it genuinely upsets me this shows never coming back
Wait till you're 47 and still missing the show.
You'll be just a kid
40 is like 20 in 2021 son. Cmon aint that that long ago big belly
I think they said all there was to say. Many Saints was proof of that. But Gandolfini certainly had a lot more to give. His loss was a terrible tragedy.
0:10 It should have been “Micah Bell, Red Dead Redemption 2”
La serie de I Soprano è un capolavoro insuperabile . La migliore serie televisiva che abbiano mai girato. Grazie al talento e alla professionalità degli attori italo americani. Saluti dall'Italia !!! 🇮🇹🤙🇮🇹🤙🇮🇹🤙🇮🇹
Such a crock they didn't win until Season 5.
Demitri Salloum yeah rihgt?
The West Wing beat them several years. It was Liberal propaganda and Hollywood loved it.
Big big mistake
Even David E. Kelley, whom I revere, remarked that the first season deserved the Best Drama Series award when his show “The Practice” won. But Season 5 deserved everything it got.
@@joshrandall5297 David Chase is a liberal
I'm glad that season 5 finally won best drama series because as a die hard long time fan, season 5 was my favorite. Just like I'm glad Breaking Bad finally won best drama series with season 5a. PS- Deadwood should've won Emmys, and it's an INSULT that the Wire was not even nominated for anything.
Jiggley Krowzer yrah s5 my fav too. s5e11 Testing Dream episode best tv episodd of all time. It's like David Lynch, Woody Allen, Luis Bunuel and Dostoyevski come together and creat this episode!
Season. One (Mikey) and Two (Richie) are my favs. They’re all good, tho.
That nose, its like a natural canopy.
Mcdouche lol
“He’s my homie.. he lives up by me.” “Then why don’t you just say that, then. If you want to talk like a moolinagn, we’ll send you to slip and fall school.”
He can smoke a cigarette in the rain with both hands behind his back.
you can't make that sh*t up
If beaks could kill, his certainly would
Love how James Gandolfini kisses him in-character. He was Tony Soprano.
Michael Imperiolli really did a GREAT performance as “Christopher”. I remember hearing that the kid who played “ Matt Bevalaqua / Drinkwater” was also considered to play Christopher.
This is a attestation to the genius of the Sopranos. I don't know if I'll ever be a bigger fan of another series.
Christophaa!
tht is soooo funnny !!! 😂😂😂how u said tht!!!!!! "faaaaa" lolol tony was best at sayn "tht"!!!!!
I was gonna cook cheese dwags for you.
I love the fact how James Gandolfini kissed him on the cheek just like the way Tony kisses Chris
The Sopranos deserved all those awards. Amazing show 👏.
Kwis-taa-fah
First win?? Holly shit! The Sopranos all seasons deserve all emmys and all other awards. This series change the tv forever!!
John Johnson ok dude but come on!! Fist 4 season we talking about! Come on!! :)
"I wanna say a few words, heh heh heh"
I like how they are so happy for each other! Great bunch of people!
Jim G. standing behind others is classic Jim a gentleman!
The amount of fun this group had before, during and after these awards shows must have been amazing to be apart of.
I still see clips of the Sopranos pop up on you tube and am astounded still at what great acting and writing the show was.
They just don’t make television like this anymore
Lol, yes they do....Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Narcos, the list goes on and on...It was The Sopranos that created the era of high quality binge worthy TV. They say The Sopranos are the Beatles of TV.
@@jokerswildio Why don't you add Lost to your shitty list?
That's because it's not TV, it's HBO.
Fuck off boomer

One of my biggest dreams was to sit back, smoke a cigar & have light conversation with James G one day.
get in line , mate
You know he passed away 6 years ago. God bless his soul
qbconnect gonna have to see him in heaven for that one😭
Probably the most moving and poignant scene of the Sopranos....when Anthony, his son, is very depressed and attempts suicide by jumping in the pool tied to a brick, once he is there, he wants to live, he struggles yells for help and Tony comes to save him--they both start crying. The show itself deserves all its accolades just for that one scene, and a plethora of similar ones, alone!
Cried so hard when Tony saved him and called him his baby. 💔
James Gandolfini and Edie Falco hug Michael so warmly as if they were his parents
i cant separate his character from him, amazing work
