I picked Monterey ssd in the OpenCore menu but it’s just a black screen with text. I have all the supported hardware and I used opcore simplify to make my efi. Please help me because I’ve wasted 10 hours trying to get it to work but nothing works.

4:11 you should have gpt scheme on Windows, you need to reinstall windows and have it as GPT, the last time i convert that mbr to gpt using diskgenius while doing 4:11, it went bluescreen after

hey litemint, excelent guide but im trying to use sequoia and im having trouble thinking of what part of the restore drive to put in the unallocated space. i used opencore and everything is supported unless its wifi edit: the mac os booted but the desktop doesnt load, trackpad works aswell as the keyboard. edit: more explained version: It successfully boots the important files but the installer does not appear, keeping the system in a state of limbo with a grey screen while important stuff can still run, just without image. Programs i used: efi config: both efi programs present in video. opsimplify Rdrive usbmappingtool DiskGenius And of course, ventoy. Idea of problem: Rdrive gave me warning of some files having an error but i just pressed ignore, when it finished it just said with “0 ignored errors” specs: Cpu: Intel core i5 8th gen ( skylake, whiskeylake ) Gpu: The integrated graphics ( Intel (R) UHD Graphics 620 ) Network adapter: (unsupported: Qualcomm athernos QCA61x4A Wireless network adapter, planning to get wireless dongle.) audio: Realtek Audio and Intel(R) Display audio. @@fatdream149 what are you doing exactly before you encounter the X mark? Where did you got the EFI that you are using?
@@litemint09 i just tried dual booting, when i restarted and clicked the MacOS drive, that happened. I used OpCore Simplify for the EFI.
@@fatdream149 can be an incompatible kext, which macos version was it? 15.0.1 has bugs
