Beautiful sphere! Awesome job!
They call me Granite Guy! Not usually considered a gemstone, but highly polished granite can be very pretty. And we have a wide variety here.
@@GraniteGuy it's absolutely beautiful I'd be proud to have one of those on my shelf.
the bowl is entirely different sound but almost as pleasing. the reflective qualities of the stainless steel are interesting as well
I put the bowl in a pot so the bottom would be suspended and would ring when the stone hit it. The reflections make it look like 2 balls. Once it slows down at the end, you can see what's really going on.
is there flowerstone in N.H.?
I consider the porphyry around here to be a kind of gem. Only the fact that there are millions of tons of it keeps it out of the jewelry stores.
you might take all your stone shards and tumble them i think they would be cool lucky pieces for pocket carry
Yes, check out my video called "Slabs and offcuts" which shows a bunch of tumbled shards. I don't carry them because 'lucky charms' are hokum.
@@GraniteGuy have you ever carried one? i did for years and had nothing but bad luck lol
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.Gloom, despair, and agony on me.-- Hee Haw
