Beautiful! I'm Belgian-Lebanese, my family is from south Lebanon, and this moved me deeply. My grandfather still remembers a time when he would join his dad to the markets in Palestine to sell his wares. Jews, Christians and Muslims would all live in harmony across the region: having tea together, watching eachothers children etc. I pray for this kind of peace to return to our beautiful nations and region in general 🕊💕

My family conveyed a similar story of peaceful coexistence among the Abrahamic faiths. They lived in the "hill country" west of Jerusalem in a village called Ein Karem. It's famous for the well we read about in the bible where Elizabeth and Mary met, and it's the birthplace of John the Baptist.
Before 1948, my family used to host out of town visitors in their home. These were typically European Christians that were there for pilgrimage. However, my family was Muslim, but the differences never bothered them. They have a firm belief that Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all kin through Abraham, and are "People of the Book."
This mentality carried with my father when he came to the United States and married my Jewish mother. He and his family also didn't mind when I married my wife who is Catholic, and then I myself went through the process to be a confirmed Catholic.

Would you think about coming on a Catholic Podcast like Pints with Aquinas? Your testimony is worthy to be shared especially with everything going on right now. ✝️🇻🇦🕊️

I like palestine. Both them and israel are controlled by muderous madmen and its the innocents on both sides who suffer. Lest we forget their aid to the freedom fighters here at home.
