Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Hey Scrapman! You mentioned the snow obscuring contours while snowboarding, there is an entire industry around specialized goggles and lens that use filters to accentuate what little contours there are so you can still see!
I picked up a pair of Giro's this last season and it made so much difference in those weird light conditions!
Ty for showcasing the map. You can always change the time of a day to lower sun brightness on the map.
We need MM evolving races on these courses!

I'll admit I haven't finished the video yet but after the first short track, I'm not impressed. He had some odd behavior but everytime it was where you could see odd seams in the track. A custom Map is cool but it seems to need some more refining for connections between terrain pieces.
Edit: the snow track did not help my statement.
Your vehicles evolve but guess what the race course also evolves with it!

4:49 i love how scrapmans trophy truck is in the backround in a ditch
i would love to see “radial suspension” in the game, wich would be a hinge without normal hinge resistance but with suspension resistance instead. imagine how smooth you could make the ride on your trophy truck with that
You can actually do that by adjusting the strength of a hinge and removing the controls on it.
like what scrapman did when making the dragonfly ornithopter
you can make that with parts already in the game, and "radial suspension" as you call it doesn't exist.

@@THESLlCK it was that? when i saw radial suspension i thought of the spiral metal rod like the linear spring but the ends not being cut instead it's a long straight rod applying tension to changes

What about a short series where you just build "basic stuff" and optimize that? :D
What i have in mind would be:
- fast tarmac-racecar > good downforce&grip > "normal" power booster (maybe the booster with cooldown so that the car has to be fast&good without it)
- "rallycross" racecar > decently fast car for dirt and tarmac stuff
- offroad racecar > decently fast car for mostly dirt and also mud
- offroader > not necessarily fast, but stable offroader with very good ground clearance for potentially climbing rocks and other obstacles (maybe a little bit of optional thruster-downforce to occasionally help at difficult spots)
- stunt plane/fighter plane > basically a very controllable plane with some forward facing guns attached. Simple design with no special moving-wings and ability to adjust speed while still flying good (to adjust a bit for different courses)
- glider plane > controllable glider but with engines so that you don't have to do anything to get to a position; just fly to the start of the course and then turn of engines for the gliding experience
- basic helicopter (?)

If I would give 1 piece of advice to these map makers, it is an amazing map though it feels very disconnected. There is so much to do and on a small scale every point of interest is amazing, though the map around it houses almost nothing in the way of pathing or "scenery" or some sort of biome blending.
I personally have no idea how map making works in trailmakers, but maybe you can do something with those tips!

Map making is hard, you can only plop down pre made objects, it's not like a 3d modeling decent software or something like that

@@XPIgamer This map is mostly so devided because its multiple parts connected together. If you look for maps made by a single person you will not have this issue, usually.
Evolving races there would be so cool 🤩
Mister Scrapman, if you can not see the contours of snow that good while snowboarding I recommend you to try polarized glasses for your goggles. It works really good for me. Mine are made by Oakley. :) nice video by the way
handling on is so hard to get right on ground vehicles in trail makers, i made a dirt racer with downforce and had to fine tune the front to rear balance for optimal stability (not too much front) and turn in (too much in rear) while also having too much downforce to bog down my engines and pancake my suspension on a jump resulting in a rapid disintegration sequence
Make a multiplayer Monday with this map you all build one car that probably have a flying races? And a snowy anf offroad, probably to do all this race you have 3 laps
the sandworm, the hutt, and ancient city remind me of Dune

A good challenge would be to race cars off large, car demolishing ramps, but cars would have the capability to shoot a thrust, (from under the car), for a split second at the right time so you land without taking damage.
Like if you shoot a puff of air or using the thrusters activate the thrusters to lift you enough to slow you down so you don't crash into the ground hard. However, you can only use the thruster for like a second, so timing is very important.

"Break the sound barrier without moving, figure that one out"
Let's say we have a break fixed in one place the brick is literally unable to move it can't be moved at all but it needs to break the sound barrier. Simply speed the rotation of the planet that it is on. By speeding the rotation of the planet the brick itself while not moving will be given the illusion of moving therefore allowing it to break the sound barrier without moving because everything else is moving. Because technically even if you're just standing "in one place" you're actually moving really fast because the Earth is moving incredibly fast and you're just fixated to one point on the planet but not to actually one point in the universe or just one point in general.

You should use a mod to add actual races to this map and you should combine the I searched "enter word" in the workshop and the evolving vehicles things on trailmakers and then race them so in other words you use a mod to add races to this map and then search whatever on the workshop then you evolve them and then race on this map

For me when he had that glitch happened to him my screen just went black but I still can’t see him and the little gear icon around him but everything else went black
Funny how much more the community has added to this game compared to the actual devs... they've given us one *payed* map in the last 2 years almost. All I've wanted is stranded in space 2.0
So about the snowboarding thing one time I was snowboarding with my dad and I came up on a big rock that kind of looked like snow from far away and I thought oh I'm just going to hit this snow mound like a jump and when I hit it I just stopped instantly and faceplanted in the snow

I really wish trailmakers will fix the wheels sinking into the ground... Wheels should be ontop not inside the ground while your driving
It's a feature. It's just the wheels compressing under the weight. It doesn't have an animation for some reason.

Bruh. Music production is hard. He probably is working on Catarinth, the level of complexity in his songs is insane and takes months to make. Not only that, but even when you’ve finished the song it still takes around a month to release it.
