National language Urdu, official language English, religious language Arabic, mother tongue Punjabi, Pushto, etc., national anthem in Persian. The idea shall be to carve a social identity on the basis of the future rather than only extracting it on the basis of history, without compromising on religious, cultural, diplomatic, and regional values, The modern structure of the nation-state will keep every person in an identity crisis. in the subcontinent, people with different ideologies always coexisted, but after globalization and British rule, the current state of affairs was inevitable. When Adeel says religion was not the basis for partition, it is a partially false statement. Taking out the religion from the struggle for freedom would be an alternate fantasy history. Pakistan's identity is multifaceted, rooted in its rich history, diverse culture, and complex socio-political landscape. Founded in 1947 as a homeland for Muslims in South Asia, Pakistan's identity is deeply intertwined with its Islamic heritage. However, it is not solely defined by religion. Pakistan encompasses a myriad of ethnicities, languages, and traditions, contributing to its vibrant tapestry of identity. Moreover, Pakistan's identity is shaped by its struggle for independence, its geopolitical significance, and its ongoing quest for socio-economic development. Its identity is reflected in its literature, art, music, and cuisine, which fuse influences from various regions and civilizations. Despite challenges such as political instability, socio-economic disparities, and security concerns, Pakistan's identity is resilient. It is a nation that continues to evolve, seeking to reconcile its past with its aspirations for the future while embracing its diverse heritage as a source of strength and unity.

Why do Pakistanis keep referring to South Asia? Pakistan does not belong to South Asia tectonic plates notwithstanding. The same as Cyprus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Russia and Armenia do not belong to Asia inspite of being geographically being located in the continent either in their entirety or at least majorly. Pakistan should join MENA groups and identify with them (which they already do). This will save us South Asians from this rabid nation.

Super excited !!!! And btw why did you not shoot in your usual studio? The voice is echoing a little bit.
Good to hear that you are visiting Trinayana. I am from Islamabad and I remember SDPI as I engaged with them in the past. I worked as an auditor and conducted an external audit of SDPI for a couple of years. Islamabad is a beautiful place but a lot smaller than places like Lahore or Delhi. Do visit Daman-e-Koh and Monal restaurant (if it is still there). There are a number of good eating places which you can try, SDPI staff should be able to assist you with that. If you are a strict vegetarian, you might struggle a bit to find vegetarian food.
Audio is not very clear, especially from Shehzad's mic.. There seems to be a bit of an empty room echo effect.. you may want to correct it in post production and re-upload the video.
I totally Respect Adeel Afzal Sir's thoughts on religion and Pakistani identity, but his numerous perspectives on ISLAM are somewhat biased! I am also a Punjabi and a Pakistani, but I cannot say that religion is the main cause of our identity crisis. Your delivery of attitude is indirectly condemning The Religion. It's the fault of the people in charge that they played the religion card, but that doesn't mean religion is bad in and of itself, and it's incorrect to say that most Islamic scholars were against Pakistan. This is not correct.I am not arguing that Indians and Hindus are to fault; Obviously they are not. We, as a nation, are to fault for having these types of leaders!
Shehzad, I'm a big fan of your podcasts, but I felt the humor directed at Anwar Maqsood Sahib went a bit too far. Given his significant contributions and esteemed status, I believe it would be appropriate for you and Adeel to offer an apology. The jokes about him seemed quite unnecessary.
Why should someone’s esteemed status be a shield against humour? Surely someone who has made his career making fun of everyone should not mind being made fun of?
Sorry for always complaining about one thing or the other but kindly check your sound system, echo is making it hard to listen, also, your voice is breaking and not very comprehensive 🙏
My father says that "Je Waris Shah Heer na likhda tan" used to be the most important essay in Punjabi schools. Content used to be something like "Farmers will stop bullocks if they didnt have Heer'. Bhagat Singh didnt swear on Guru Granth Sahib in court, he swore with a hand on "Heer Waris". Heer is that important to Punjab. Any idiot living in the land of Heer trying to destroy it is unpardonable.
Very interesting conversation but so much of it was lost because the sound quality was ringing and garbled in places. Can you please look into it in the future. Thanks.

Why Pakistan can't be said to be created based on religion? 1. Wasn't the slogan "Pakistan ka matlab kia, Laillaha illalah" raised during struggle for freedom? 2. Why Muslims living in provinces like UP etc voted for Muslim League while they knew they will not be a part of Pakistan? 3. Was basis of creation of Pakistan unity of Punjabis, Baluchis, Sindhis and Pathans? While we know that not all of Punjabis, Pathans, Baluchis and Sindhis will be a part of Pakistan? 4. Why Bengalis living far away from us voted to be a part of Pakistan? While they had nothing in common with us (language, culture, geographic contiguity) except for religion.
Meditating seal has been found that's older than 6000 years, not just 3000. First clocks were used and invented in India that dates back 2nd millennium BC. Pakistan & Afghanistan are such losers in this "war" against their own identity, very sad.
I love your podcasts and topics covering the enlightened Pakistani experience. However, one piece of technical feedback on this video. As an Indian expat that tries to comprehend Pakistani Urdu/Punjabi through my familiarity with Hindi and Hyderabadi Urdu, I had a tough time following most of the conversation here, because of too much audio reverb in this video. Hope you can figure out a root cause and a fix. 👍
Why does Adeel Afzal does not like the "Urdu-Speaking" identity? In short he wants others to recognize the unique identity of natives of Pakistan but does not want recognize and acknowledge the ethnic identity of an already marginalized Ethnic group in Pakistan.
@@ThePakistanExperience it's ok, no need to apologize. I rewind if I miss something. Jeete Raho aur Khush Raho as your Team is doing a very Zabardast job.
I want to know this How did regular folks in India, who didn't know much about politics and weren't part of the elite class that discussed it, find the courage to leave their homes and families during the 1947 partition, even though they might not have fully understood the risks and challenges involved? What made them decide to move to a new place they knew very little about?
Religion...some muslims who feared for their lives bcoz of riots and some flee after committing criminal activities....but pakistan is formed on the basis of religion...

India does not even have a national Language. Pakistan got very strong and old history.
Once again amazed by this talk. Love you both❤
❤
Podcast was very good with Adeel Afzal but the voice distortion was a bit check out your video.....Sorry for that Shehzad bhi Keep it up and Muhabat ha ap dono sa❤
❤
The sound quality really f..ked up such a fine conversation.
I am so excited to make this comment Shehzad. I am coming to Pakistan to attend the SDPI conference in Islamabad. Tickets are done. Bas visa mil jaye ab. Do tell me some recommendations for me to see around in Islamabad. And sorry for the completely unrelated comment on your video. I had no other way of communicating to a Pakistani person.
@@digitalstranger Thanks so much for your recommendations.
Audio is not very clear, especially from Shehzad's mic..
There seems to be a bit of an empty room echo effect.. you may want to correct it in post production and re-upload the video.

Audio Problem hai video me
I totally Respect Adeel Afzal Sir's thoughts on religion and Pakistani identity, but his numerous perspectives on ISLAM are somewhat biased!
Struggled with audio quality. Poor encoding
Tabdeeli Aaney Nahi Waalii 😲
Tabdeeli Aa Gayi Haiii 💪☝
Good to see again adeel ❤❤ in your podcast but in this podcast audio voice is not clear
Great podcast..... But there is something wrong with sound from 35 mnt to 45 mnt ... Plz fix it in next podcast shahzad bhai
Sound is really poor. This conversation deserved Better sound. Voice of Shehzad is almost inaudible.

Bring Deepak Perwani To Your show
Sound quality could have been better
Thanks.

47:37 from the writings of late Zia Mohiyuddin I know that that he was a son of Punjab, and so were Iqbal and Faiz.
Denying one's Culture, History, Languages, Customs & Traditions cannot make any NATION Proud,Self Respecting or Dignified. This is the reason for Pakistanis not loving their own country.Hence lootmaar continues.
Is it just me or the audio is incomprehensible at most times? Ive tried multiple times on multiple days but the voice is very muffled. I cannot understand half of the podcast, sadly. It was a very highly anticipated podcast. Admin, please respond.
I’m born in Scotland and halve lived my whole life here.
If I was to analyse then I would say, Pakistani people are emotion driven. Interests are entertainment, culture is rich but forgotten.
The people are full of drama 🎭
Change to become the future my Pakistanis please 🙏
@@TheRedKing- we are all repeatedly warned for our own shortfalls so I don’t see why it would be necessary to mention. Pakistan will rise InShaaAllah
Paji kamaal ka podcast tha aaj ka but thoda audio issue hai

Did anyone else experience issues with the audio? 🤔
1:09:30 which book would you recommend for Heer Ranjha, and on Bullah Shah?
pakistani identity is just wrapper on indian chocolate
Such a pity that the audio didn’t work. Had to give up listening to this discussion.
Audio quality is very low...
Pakistan ki identity TV identity hai jab ye mbs ko dekte hai to arbi ho jate jab ye sadaam ko fasi ki sazaa sunte oose haste hue dekte to ye persian ho jate or jab ye 1 actress ko halima begum k role mai dekte to ye log urtgul k sainik banjate .
I feel some audio issue in this video
@the Pakistan experience..bro aap pahtun aur Baloch identities aur history ko bhi discuss kary ...as text books mai just mighals paraye gye hy
There is problem with Audio in this podcast.
Lol something it looks like shehzad started speaking another language. Khair Great podcast
Sorry about the audio on this one
I came for Adeel , MOTU HAS LOST THE PLOT 😂😂😂😂
me China Xinjiang me rehta hun, yahan bhi har saal noruz mnaya jata he
Why does Adeel Afzal does not like the "Urdu-Speaking" identity? In short he wants others to recognize the unique identity of natives of Pakistan but does not want recognize and acknowledge the ethnic identity of an already marginalized Ethnic group in Pakistan.
The podcast is very good but the problem is with the sound it echoes.

@@ThePakistanExperience it's ok, no need to apologize. I rewind if I miss something. Jeete Raho aur Khush Raho as your Team is doing a very Zabardast job.
I want to know this
How did regular folks in India, who didn't know much about politics and weren't part of the elite class that discussed it, find the courage to leave their homes and families during the 1947 partition, even though they might not have fully understood the risks and challenges involved? What made them decide to move to a new place they knew very little about?
Religion...some muslims who feared for their lives bcoz of riots and some flee after committing criminal activities....but pakistan is formed on the basis of religion...
