Fun fact : After the 1967 war, lakhs of Palestinians were given refuge by Jordan. Backed by Iraq and Syria, these Palestinian repaid the hospitality of the Jordanians by challenging King Hussein. Pakistan's Zia-Ul-Haq, then a Brigadier, helped Jordan massacre thousands these Palestinians.

Another fun fact: You are conflating PLO + Fateh with palestinians(either LAKHS of palestinians were PLO or they were civilians). This civil war was between King of jordan and PLO. So, be specific even if you want to propagate a specific narrative. For Zia-Ul-Haq, you are damn right. He was named butcher of Palestinians.

I listen to the podcast avidly, but I'm here to counter few points. My point of reference will be real world practicality and not some arbitrary morals & idealism
    1. Reagrding Cawnpore Massacre - That happened almost 200 years ago so people have built distance from it, hell most even don't know about it. But if I go ask people about their reaction to it, they would certainly feel remorseful about the incident not call it some victory for social justice. Moreover if that happened today on live TV people would have reacted the same way they did to Hamas brutality.
    2. The Hindus or non muslims dont support the Palestinian cause so fanatically becasue "kya Arab ke log insaan nai hai' - Nai bhai non muslims will naturally not feel as strongly for a war going on thousands of kilomteres away from their borders becuase they have their own life to live. This perfection of soul that youseek from supporting the right side just doesn't resonate with non muslim masses. An average non muslim of the subcontinent doesnt care much about what's going on far away because it doesn't visibly affect their lives. This is like sayiing that all muslims of subcontinent support Palestine out of goodness of their hearts and not the love for Ummah. I would like them to show the same passion in Ukraine war or even climate crisis. The muslim identity crisis will continue as long as it will see itself the colonised population of the Arabs and make their cause as theirs.
    3. Regarding Nehru, Gandhi and others missionary zeal for Palestine and opposition for Israel - Unki apni majbooriyan thi... You know there were multiple reasons to support Palestine in mid 20th century...they were product of their times...there is no justifiable reason to remain a slave to the Nehruvian consensus.

    • @ThePakistanExperience

For all the talk of how Israel didn’t exist before 1948 and the rolling out of convenient maps that highlight that POV, I’m yet to hear one Muslim talk about the Quran’s repeated references to Israel and the children of Israel. This was 600 years after the Romans destroyed the Jewish temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD, scattered the Jews across the world, and triggered the first major Jewish diaspora.
Yet, 600 years later, when the Quran was written, the state of Israel and the idea of Jewish people as children of Israel was repeatedly recognized in formal Islamic documentation, even in their holiest scriptures.
Funnily enough, Palestine is mentioned exactly 0 times in the Quran. The Holy Land, as the Jewish homeland was referred to in the Quran, had 0 Muslim presence during the life of Muhammad. The local indigenous people there were either Jewish or Christian. The Jewish homeland was important and holy enough for early Muslims to focus their direction of prayer to Jerusalem.

Also in the Tanakh and the Torah (Jewish Holy books) the Jews are in a covenant with God to NOT have their own state until their messiah returns. How conveniently you fail to mention this point or perhaps are unaware of it. Hence if you are going to quote religious scriptures to justify your point, perhaps do your research first.

Whether the Quranic or other Abrahamic mythologies claimed to dispossess the Jews as retribution for disobedience is not of interest to the modern, scientific mind. The question of interest is whether the state of Israel existed, and did the Quran recognize its existence. The answer is a resounding yes. The same cannot be said for Palestine.

If two goondas are fighting, it doesn't mean that one is the "good guy" and the other is the "bad guy". It's actually more likely that the two gangsters are both fighting each other for world dominance.
During the Islamic-era, Turks, Iranians, Uzbeks, Afghans, etc. were exactly the same kind of barbarians as the Europeans became later, and had almost exactly the same kinds of punishments as well.

I'm still waiting for more than 1 muslim to change this ratio-
Time spent condemning the Horror of Hamas : Time spent Supporting the Palestinian Struggle
    1:1,500,000,000
Here is how the world views all muslims when you open your mouth on such issues:
    * Half a million dead in Syria = zero action + some Thoughts and Prayers
    * 1 million dead in Iran-Iraq conflict = zero action + some Thoughts and Prayers
    * 300K dead in Yemen = zero action + not a lot of Thoughts and Prayers
    * 3 wars in Sudan leading to half a million dead = zero action + some Thoughts and Prayers
    * Palestinians revolting against Jordan = Zero action + Zero thoughts and prayers
    * Palestinians changing the demographics of Lebanon and reducing it to a worn torn country = Zero action + Zero thoughts and prayers
    * 1.7 million refugees kicked out of Pakistan = Zero action + Zero thoughts and Prayers + So many excuses
    * Minorities in muslim countries not having the same status as muslims = Some action + Some thoughts and prayers + Loads of cheer and happiness
    * Palestinian cause = Take to the streets + Take down posters of hostages + Seething anger + History lessons that begin in 1948 + virtually Zero acknowledgment of Islamic terrorists wanting to wipe out a whole race + Create a major nuisance for citizens in countries where you have immigrated to.
Palestinians deserve all our sympathy. We need to stop the carnage. But if the Islamic world is silent on muslim on muslim atrocities that occur at a much much larger scale, but go full-tilt on any non-muslim on muslim atrocities, then I think you need to get yourself checked. Let the rest of us who understand what true humanity is handle this. Even if you don't say it out loud most of you think "from the river to the sea". If you want to be taken seriously, it's best you start working on yourselves. I promise you the rest of the world will take you seriously then.
I may hate the frequency of protests in India. I may feel it slows down progress or change. I may not agree with some. But I'm happy that all issues in India have an audible voice. I'm happy that there are enough people not from the protesting community that stand with them. I'm happy that the will of the people is on display no matter the issue. Where is your will at? I'm not saying it has to be a majority display , but it has to be material. Where is the will of the people when the army controls you? where is your will when you have been lied to in your history books? where is your will when 50% of your population (women) are treated poorly? where is the display of the will of the people when you persecute minorities? Who or what is your equivalent of millions of people like me who troll both Islamists and Far-right Sanjay Dixit type tunnis, who put development, progress, and coexistence above all? Where is your jazba? Why is Syed Muzammil Shah the only one?

Fact is, Muslims tend to create a dense ghetto for themselves anywhere in the World. Such ghettos become a hotbed of discontent, rebellion and anti-social activities. The host population is barred from entering these ghettos.
The Muslim ghettos are called "No-Go zones" by the locals. Violence in France started from its largest ghetto.
Denmark has passed laws to dismantle such ghettos and disperse densely packed Muslim immigrants. They also want to teach local values to all Muslim children for 25 hours a week.
In France, police started taking action on Muslims who started praying in public spaces. Italy will close down neatly 1000 public places that are used without authorization for prayers.
This shows a serious inability of the Muslims to integrate themselves with the host population. When the hosts react to this "othering", they are labeled as Islamophobic!
That's why right-wing political parties who oppose Muslim immigration are gaining traction in several European countries (Poland, Netherlands, Italy, etc.)

Why just Muslims nations refusing taking Muslim refugees? Pakistan refuses to take Bihari speaking Bangladeshis after 1971. But there is one fun fact to help you understand.
From 1948 till 1990, Kuwait allowed over 3 lakh Palestinians to live and work in their country. But when Iraq attacked Kuwait in 1990, the Palestinians supported the Iraqis. When Kuwait became free again in 1991 it expelled almost all the Palestinians.

Then a few years after prophet Mohammed’s death, khalifa Umer attacked Jerusalem and took over. That’s how Muslims came there. Its good to know pakistani intellectuals are below par. Find your own heroes kabhi Shaheed Bhagat Singh ko misquote karte ho kabhi BR Ambedkar, had these 2 greats said the things they wrote in their book on Ideology ,BR Ambedkar said and I quote
“Islam is said to bind people together. This is only a half-truth. For Islam divides as inexorably as it binds. Islam is a close corporation and the distinction that it makes between Muslims and non-Muslims is a very real, very positive and very alienating distinction. The brotherhood of Islam is not the universal brotherhood of man. It is a brotherhood of Muslims for Muslims only. There is a fraternity, but its benefit is confined to those within that corporation. For those who are outside the corporation, there is nothing but contempt and enmity,”
BR Ambedkar wrote in ‘Pakistan or Partition of India’. I donot subscribe to this view Ambedkar has criticized every religion but he is creator of Modern India; whose contribution is unparallel. He would have been hanged in Pak for this.

Islam's conquest and expansion has huge similarity on how he describes imperialism - which involves humiliation (rapes / forced conversion), superiority (no explanation needed), economic control (penalties on Kaafirs), etc. However, nobody is ready to have this conversation. Any such discussion is labelled as Islamophobia. Host himself in his interview with NewsLaundry fellow, acknowledged that he is fine with this as historically everyone was cruel and done bad things - but that is not the case with majority of Indians. No history of venturing out to expand the influence or control others.
